This would probably be one of my favourite add-on's in OMSI. It would have to best one of the best running maps in OMSI, it seems to be the one with the least amount of frame lag and bugs. The routes are good however my one criticism is that there are only two routes, with only one of the routes running on weekends. I really wish there were more routes to keep you coming back to the map. If you are looking for an Add-on, I highly recommend this one because of how well it runs.

I've had this for awhile, but what the heck no very recent reviews so I'll review it. Probably one of the best DLC maps in the game (along with the other Hamburg maps). Map is well optimized and runs smoothly. Busses look and sound great (I recommend Three Generation pack as well to get articulated bus) and there are a lot of appearance options for various ad boards, paints, etc. Get the other Hamburg maps (Hamburg Modern/Hafen City and Hamburg Line 20) and you can play all available Hamburg routes on Line 20 Map in a Modern setting as well as depot/service runs.

A very welcoming new fresh map which feels up to date to the real Hamburg, With the new add on buses it's perfect. Like the hand in the glove.

This map brings a good experience, the style of it is really nice and detailed. I like the custom buses and the day and night line. But I did expect more lines for this price. The buses give you a really nice driving experience and the bus stops are very detailed and unique with exclusive bus lanes and a bus station included. This map also has a custom timetable to all other maps. I think that all maps should have this based on the real lists per location so I really think this is a step forward in OMSI add-ons.

Amazing route which adds on everything the original route and buses had. Much nicer looking city than the default in OMSI. Bus has announcements which are programmed by the ticket machine. It's Hamburg which is a lovely city to explore.

I reviewed this when I was frustrated with it, and it didn't come out so positive, so I'll try again... tldr: -possible performance issues/need for lower settings +Excellent New busses +Excellent new AI cars +Very real-feeling road features and junctions +Two interesting routes, with some variety depending on time/date +Reeperbahn woot woot Firstly, an issue... I have a powerful computer and I can run some very big and complicated maps (Winsenburg_2015, Ahlheim 3.1.1, etc.) with all lines/objects, and with a huge draw distance, without any problems. This map is a little more problematic, however. It seems to be a bit texture heavy. Perhaps they are a little more high-res than they need to be, or maybe they just don't load very quickly for some reason. For me, it often has the problem where all the textures start to lag behind, and everything turns white. This is sometimes followed by tiles failing to load and the bus falling through the map. It seems to be a recurring problem on this map and I don't really know why, as it doesn't seem to be such a complicated map, and I don't have this problem with any other map. Having said that, the framerates I get in this map are the same as I get in others (30fps @1080p, which is more than enough in my opinion). In fact, the framerates seem to be more consistently good in this map than in the others I mentioned. There isn't much stuttering, just the strange problem I have with the textures not keeping up with the game sometimes. For me, it seems to run pretty fine, and then suddenly it all goes to pieces for no apparent reason. The manual does suggest some quite low graphics settings, but I can't see why this should be necessary for this map. It doesn't seem very complicated, so I'm at a loss to explain why it needs low settings. Perhaps the simplistic feel of the map (just two routes) is hiding a high level of complexity (two incredibly detailed routes, perhaps?). And now, the good points that make it worthwhile... It really is a very nice map to drive. I can't state that enough. Despite the problems I've had, I keep coming back to it. It's quite simple compared to some mods, in that it only has the two routes. They don't immediately stand out as being more detailed than any other mod; not in any way I could particularly put my finger on. However, for some reason they do feel very, very real. Obviously, this is a real map, based on a real place; I'd expect it to feel "real". But there's more to it than that. I think that the detail in this map is not so obvious; it's the good kind of detail that creeps up on you, and makes the memories of playing it seem like the memories of a real drive. An interesting feature of this map is the fact that it is based on real roads. A lot of Omsi maps these days seem to feel like some sort of bus obstacle course: with road features and junctions so tight that there is only one exact path to get through with your sidewalls intact, with only millimeters to spare on either side. Real roads aren't usually like that, especially the ones they put bus routes on. This map isn't like that either. The roads are a joy to drive on, and the result is a very satisfying and realistic experience. The map adds some new buses to the game, and they are very detailed and well-made; a fine addition to any Omsi garage. Also of note is the new AI vehicles include in this map. The cars in this map are more modern, and it's nice to see some variety over the original Omsi AI cars, particularly the modern police car and amulance (including some that are just driving, without sirens and lights. Emergency vehicles aren't always rushing to an emergency. It's a nice touch). Also, the AI models are quite well optimized (on mod maps that have the choice between the default Omsi cars and these Hamburg ones, I see quite a good performance increase when using the Hamburg ones). As I said, there's only two routes. Again, it's actually a little more complicated than that. The routes have some variety depending on time and date. They're quite a good choice for an Omsi map, and they compliment each other quite well. The 688 is the night line. It's quite short, but a fun drive through all the lights and sparkle of the Reeperbahn. The 109 is the daytime route. It's much longer in comparison to the 688, and there's some interesting features along the way. They both have good junctions and a variety of speed limits and challenges. The route computer is a little different from the IBIS sytem in the default game, giving a more in-depth feeling. It's well implemented, with GPS controlled announcements, shift cards, driver numbers, etc. It adds a nice touch of realism to the game. So, all-in-all, it's a good choice. Possible performance issues (ymmv), but many features that make it a very real experience, and even add a lot to the default game as a whole. There's a lot included here for the money. :)

Very well made map. It's optimised, comes with its own bus, and is very graphically detailed. Highly recommended and I'd say it's well worth the money. Looks and plays better than the default Berlin map in my opinion with better peformance, detail and additions such as passenger sounds, new AI vehicles, etc.

If you are choosing between the DLC that the developers have provided you with, one of the other route you must download is this Hamburg map. The buses that come with the map are a step up from the orignal buses you get from the standard game and if you also download the $9.99 USD Three Generations pack, it will make the experience even better. This map has been very detailed and in some of the buses, you can programe your own anouncements. This is in my opinion a great choice of DLC for OMSI 2 and it is worth a try. However my only complaint is that there is realistically, there is only two routes to choose from, one of which is a night route, so most of the time you are left with one route to drive on.
More Hamburg
One of the first if not the first dlc’s for OMSI 2 and it doesn’t disappoint. This is really one of the best dlc’s to get. Hamburg day&night adds couple of night lines to OMSI 2 and it’s real pleasure to drive them. Map looks really good, it’s good to look at the city you’re driving through. Lines are pretty long and give you a satisfying driving experience. Performance is surprisingly good. Maybe because it’s old and was made without 4gb patch in mind. Of course don’t expect flawless performance it’s OMSI 2 after all, but by game’s standards performance is really good. On top of that it looks good too. There’s an additional bus which is also pretty good to drive. Those who are into older buses should like it. Definitely a good dlc to purchase for every OMSI 2 fan. Pros

Nice two lines to drive
Good performance
Nice old bus
Cons

Should have a discount for those who already have Hamburg modern(and other way around)

My curator page
