Played the game in 2017 and replaying again for review purposes.
I've had friends ask which P&C adventure games I can recommend which is why I'm replaying so many from years ago, and I reluctantly replayed Technobabylon because I wanted to give a review over what I know not what I remember. Plus sometimes I like replaying some of these games.
I don't remember liking this too much then, and sadly I still have the same stance now.
This isn't a bad game, but I would have a hard time recommending it to friends.
This one didn't keep my interest as much, and I didn't find myself emotionally invested.
This is one of those games where it felt like it was trying to be/do too much at once.
I grew up playing P&C adventure games, they're my favorite genre, I'm used to all sorts of games in this genre but this one just isn't for me.
This game feels like it was more about the puzzles than the story this time.
Some of the puzzles are really good and make sense, and some puzzles are just awful.
The story telling is good as usual, this game has a lot more puzzles than other Wadjet games do, the cyberpunk world is a great idea but...
The puzzles, I don't know where to start, some were good, while others were awful or just didn't make sense.
Some of the puzzles take way too many steps to complete, or are just straight up illogical, but a lot of them are really simple.
The thing is sometimes when you have too much of something in a game, the game can start to get really boring.
I did have to check a walkthrough a few times, and that's probably because there was times where so much going on at once that I started over thinking.
I couldn't get emotionally invested into this game either unlike other Wadjet games. There was only one time I felt any emotion towards this game and it was with Regis and Latha towards the end of the game, that's it.
The ending just didn't do it for me either, which I think was the biggest downfall, since with most of these games I can usually get some sort of gratification from the ending, but not with this one.
What I can say is- I wish I could've enjoyed the game but I just didn't.

A Wadjeteye special, a Point&Click through and through. If you ever played any of their other games, this is more of the same but in a cyberpunk world. I think this particular game stands out with its puzzles, they all are very logical and not frustrating. One of my favorite WadjetEye games ever and I don't even like cyberpunk genre that much.
Among weaknesses are maybe a steeper learning curve than usual for a P&C game and fonts that are hard to read at times. Other than that a solid 7/10 for me.
