This definetely is on of the best american engines for TS !
-The Sound: Still not too accurate but much better than the sound they used before
-Features: A lot... Opening Nose door, Windows, a moveable clipboard etc, Sander can be used differently, Very detailed to sum it up
-Textures and visual things: Very nice ! A very good looking Engine, brilliant and working headlights
-Physics: Seems realistic (I have never driven an AC6000 so i can't really judge it ;))
-Issues: No visible bell on the outside of the train, horn is nice but sounds a bit too cut off, Due to the very detailed engine it will be a bit slower on low-end computers, but that's no real issue
You like american engines and you want another one? Well, you have to buy this, you won't regret it !

I got this on the Fall sale knowing the wheel slip problems this thing had. Well, I have since solve that problem. I noticed the engine is very wheel slip happy, and when you apply sand it only does the front truck. You think that would be no problem, but then it starts acting up again. This time I switched on the second sand button in the cab for both trucks, and I've been down to 10 mph 100% no wheel slip, which by that point you were too far gone spinning you had to restart. I was always a big fan of the "Big Six" and so far it has been that one child who behaves half the time, but you still love them.

A must buy! They defianly put a lot into this. One thing that caught my eye was where is the bell at on the locomotive? You have bell sound. But you look around the locomotive and there is no bell haha? Overall I really like it!

I HIGHLY Recommend this DLC, and it's SO worth the $20! Here are some things that make this DLC "Better" than others.
1. Front door Opens & Closes!
2. Windows Open & Close
3. Headlight Brightness Settings In-Cab
4. Has a New Horn (Non-Default)
There are very minor Cons, but overall, this is a VERY Nice DLC!

Amazing locomotive! It is generally the best locomotive for Train Simulator with its real horn, openable windows and doors and it's lovely BC2 livery. Since I am a huge CSX fan, I love running it on Miami-West Palm Beach with the excellent career scenarios made. I totally recommend the loco if you are a big fan of CSX when making a choice on which CSX DLC to get for TS.

I think this loco is real good except for one glaring flaw. The graphics on the sides of the loco when you zoom out flashing in and out. Great dlc if you don't zoom out. You would think this would be an easy fix. We can only hope it will be corrected.

I usually try to give in depth reviews, but I bought this and noticed that the wheelsets do not align the axleboxes, by a long way.
It doesn't deserve a good review.

Splended engine! Great horn! Not a default either! They recorded it off an actual CSX AC6000CW engine. The bell is a default bell though from the Pam Am on the Portland Terminal DLC route. I highly recommend this engine to everyone! Its totally worth the $20. Strong engine. And very powerful too. The scenerios are nice and theres more in the workshop for it. Nice bright lights. Different Controls in the cab. Three different views in the cab. There is 3 settings for the front lights and the rear lights-Bright,Dim,Dimmer. The front door where the engineer and conducter enginer actually opens up! The windows open. The freight cars that come with it are nice. Once again I highly recommend it!

This is a very nice engine overall. There are a few issues, however, as of 4.18.2015. Most of my complaints are very minor.
Pros:
- Excellent quality textures inside. Very good on the outside with only one minor thing listed below.
- Very nice horn! Not a default. One of the best in the game.
- Very good engine sounds. The turbos are a nice touch. I really like how they stand out more than most other locos!
- More cabin options than usual: Windows open/close, the entry door in the front opens and closes (Only loco so far with that I think.) Visors work. Sand can be applied to both trucks - front/rear. There's a button for both. (Pushing the button on the HUD puts sand only on the front truck. Pushing the button in cab for the rear truck DOES make a difference.)
- Powerful engine.
- There are 3 scenarios. That's better than the usual 2. They're pretty good in that they work well, tho they are nothing special.
Cons:
- The traction meter is way WAY off. It shows readings way too low both at start and regular running.
- The locomotive has a 5000 gallon fuel tank. In reality it's 5500.
- The CSX logo on the left side tends to flicker a very little bit occasionally. This is quite minor; it's not bad at all. Still, it would be nice if they fix it.
- One achievement does not work - this is obvious before buying it though as there is no progress bar.
- Scenarios are in Miami. Why do we need 6000 HP on perfectly flat rails? There'll be plenty of others on the workshop of course.
Lastly, there's one questionable thing about it. The SD80MAC is stronger. Not a huge amount, but significantly enough to be noticable. Not only does it pull slightly harder, but it has better traction characteristics. It's up for you, the buyer, to decide which is the more realistic. The SD80 may very well be overpowered as it's substantially stronger than the ES44AC in game. In reality it has only 600 HP on it, with similar tractive effort. The AC6000 does perform well though - just don't expect it to be the strongest freight hauler in the game.
