Nice engine, but the physics are off and other things like that. But there are fixes for that stuff an RailworksAmerica, but all of these people leaving bad reviews are just too lazy to go looking for one. Horn is crap but that is easily fixed. 8.9/10

I Recommend it it is really good the only down side is that they based the cab of the GO Transit F59PH which has a few diffrences to the Metrolink one but i can see why they did it because there is only one image on google about the f59ph cab and its the GO Transit F59ph cab the reason i know its diffrent because i watched a youtube video on a metrolink cab ride and stuff a diffrent but pretty much everything else is fine. also for the people complaning about the horn and the physics there is a physics mod in railworks america and also a P2 Horn for both F59ph and Metrolink cab car @ a website called Matts train sim sounds

Good train for LA, I don't like the silent alerter and the unbranded stock, but it is still good to drive. 10/17

The Cab Car horn doesn't work when I press the space bar and neither does the bell work either. But it is vital that you get this dlc if you're looking to use the rollingstock.

I recomend this to people who like to drive Metrolink routes. There are also repaints for it too. I used some modifications to drive this DLC. Although there are a few missing stuff such as the F59PHI's, MP36, the only Metrolink F40PH, and more. But it's still good. One of the best trains ever.

Maybe worth it in the twin-pack, more likely on sale. But it has issues. + The loco is nice, a bit weaker and slower but roughly the same as the F59PHI. + Timings aside, the scenarios are enjoyable, the sights are nice. - Despite DTG announcement a few months ago, alerter and notch 8 is missing. Drive using the F4 HUD. - The achievement "F59PH LA Commuter: Veteran Engineer" cannot be obtained, as none of the scenarios make it progress. - The 3rd scenario (Trouble in Paradise?) has its last time target way off (90 seconds too early). Also the scoring is 4x200 (minus penalty). - Cab car doesn't work with keyboard controls. Works with HUD and clicking on the controls. o The Ammeter scaling and colors suggest very restricted power settings, which is not enough to succeed with the scenarios. Confusing. o The Pacific Surfliner route and SD F59PHI train are almost flawless, definitely play those first. Get this if you still want more.

I'll behonest, I got this DLC for the cab car. I never drive from the locomotive. Take my recommendation with that in mind. The cab car controls and sounds are fantastic. Virtually identical to the trains I once rode to work in the Seattle/Tacoma area. Thus, immersion is actually pretty solid, which is rather rare for Dovetail.

I'd recomend this DLC, but it has some outstanding issues that players should be aware of. As other reviews mention, it lacks an alerter sound, and if you are a HUD person, it does not trigger the [!] icon when the alerter goes off. There is also a problem with one of the scenerios not being set up right, so it is unplayable until you fix it yourself, which instructions from players are availble to do so. Sound is also alright, but in notch 8, the engine runs at 904 RPM which makes the engine sound shut off. Again, fixes are availble from other players to deal with this issue. It's decent when you first run it, but requires some work to really get the most out of it.
