Train Simulator: Class 2F Dock Tank Loco Add-On DLC

Lovely little engine ideal dock and shunting work.

Good little loco, Meshtools quality (i.e. amongst the best in Train Simulator, IMO).

Nice little engine. Just seems strange that the numbers of the BR locos are of the Jintys.

This is another very nice loco from Mesh Tools. I really recommend adding it to your steam locomotive shed.

Probably the best cute little British 0-6-0 there is in the game. Would recommend.

This little engine really moves out! High torque and wonderful effects! This is a must have for any collection! I love using this one with two coaches for tourist and heritage runs. The liveries are spot on, the effects are wonderful. Great views, great fun and soon to be one of my top 10!

MeshTools creates some fun little engines, and this one is among them. Decent amount of fidelity mixed with a great and interesting little train. I can't recommend it enough.

Nice loco, nice to drive, beautiful to look at.. a steam version of an 03 diesel.. happy owner With a few exceptions, I wish I could give this a middle ground review *ALL* Sounds are from the jinty - every single one.. my heart sank when I heard the boiling sound and then the whistle https://youtu.be/l-Tj2I6U9cs I get that both these engines are fowler type 0-6-0 steamers and the dock tank is probably a mini jinty in real life but a few different sounds wouldnt hurt at all, im going to have to edit the sounds myself.. maybe introduce some pitch differences between the two specs wise it is a different engine, cab is different too.. its definately not a copy over I love it.. im happy I got it, but I do wish I got this rather than the jinty because I wouldnt have known any different and loved it all the same Not the best result for 13 USD On special and 20 dollars full price lost a little respect for meshtools here.. Sadly steam sounds surpreme doesnt have a 2F sound pack, as far as im aware theres none left in the wild so that'd be difficult I'm giving it a down thumb.. I love it.. others will love it just as much im sure but not if you have the jinty already.. shes a fairly popular engine so... its possible and id like to warn against it I stress though I like this engine

If you're interested to use it in other means but shunting or yard-to-yard movements (just to explore other routes), keep in mind this is not "pure" mainline locomotive - yep, it can outperform Pannier Tank Class in output power and acceleration (as well as in chest and boiler volume), at least at uphill Goodrington hardcore scenario at Riviera seem to me much easier. On short rides - approx 3-5 mile long it behaves similar to other mid-low-power freight mainline steam locomotives like 2MT or Fowler, taking in account "normal" weight (15 loaded 2 axle cars), but on long runs (>10 miles) it may lose the speed on flat profile with small grade due to higher consumption of coal and water at these speeds (tried on Riviera coastal part and speed slowly decreased to 45-47 mph in some places). I easily accelerated it to 50 mph, but it seem other speeds more than this are achievable but with big overusage of steam power or using extra motive power or decreasing load (I'm not an expert, but it seem challenging to me). On the other hand, the regulator and reverser (in simplified HUD mode) give a lot of control over speed and acceleration (same can be said about brake system), so it looks more powerful than it looks on the first glance. In overall I can underscore that this is well modeled locomotive, not having bugs in simplified (HUD) control in freeroams (however this problem happened to me few times in career scenarios) and can fit your collection in shunting, yard-to-yard, mixed freight and slow suburban traffic, I can recommend to get it, but with some limitations I described above P.S. Tried this locomotive in free roaming mode, however the experience is quite big to figure out the possibilities of the locomotive.
