First of all the sounds are awful and unbearable. No flange sounds, no joint sounds, doesn't sound like a 378 and the cab model is straight up wrong as it's basically a 375 cab with some Overground moquettes slapped onto it. Don't buy this unless your getting the goblin line or nll and not sure about wcml south. Don't buy this separately. There is a soundpack for it but it requires the old ap 377 sp which I don't have.

this pack is awful the model is ok however the sounds are just reused class 377 sounds from the Brighton mainline add-on in 2012 which is just unacceptable the doors close to quickly and arent in sync with the sounds and also theres an guard which shouldn't be there WHY BECAUSE THE 378 ARE DOO(DRIVER ONLY OPERATED) not Guard operated
do these people get anything right its nice they included all the liveries for the 378 but thats it

Good package but while playing on numerous class 378 scenarios noticed different numbers at each end of the unit consist. Also you could hear the train manager despatch bell when you are allowed to leave each station stop when the units are driver only operated (DOO). Basic errors spoilt this for me slightly but would still recommend it, only just if it was on sale.

I'd thought that I would share my experience with this product, London Overground Class 378. The train in itself is a nice runner and the details are superb. There is only just one thing that I feel should be improved is the audio of this train. It is very quiet and there is a lack of the 'clickety clack' sounds from the wheels running over the rails. The only audio heard is when the train is powered by the throttle and when the train is coasting, there is very little sound. However, sound is again heard when the brakes are slowly applied, for example, travelling down hill or slowing to approach a station. That is my review, other than that, it's a nice train. Audio could do with more realism. Many thanks.

This train has been one of the most anticipated for this Train Simulator.
I recommend it because the postivies outweigh the negatives.
Postives: The outer detail is good, the passenger/interior view is good especially with the doors opening and closing in the view (the latter saying more about the game as a whole than the actual add on), sounds are reasonable (much like all the other electrostars in the game) and the physics are reasonable.
Negatives: The addition of 455 sounds when crusing are confusing and un-needed.
So buy it. But do so in a sale. I mean £12, really? I spent £12 and in terms of Train Simulator 2015 standard, it is value for money; but in the real world, not so much.
Buy it but only if you have the South London Network.
Felix.

Meh Its just another Electrostar, suitable South London AI flavor, partially saved by the Armstrong Powerhouse 377/375/378 soundpack but in reality this unit is doomed to be primarily AI filler.
The upside is this asset is identical to the asset bundled in the new North London LO route as such its going to be way better value to get this when the route is on sale, I cant see any real reason to buy this as a standalone model unless its on an 80% off flash sale ...
Dont buy the standalone, if you need it buy the route that it comes bundled with instead.

The same model is already included with one of the London lines (North London & Goblin Lines), as well as under the name of Class 378/2 in the North London Line. Why bothering selling it as a standalone for 13.99€?
There's no sound when you're not accelerating or braking. The rest of the sounds are the same as the ones from the other model (and don't bother asking me the name, I don't remember engines names in general).
It comes with 4 scenarios for the South London Network, which sounds weird, coming from Dovetail, until you see that the 4th scenario is barely 5 minutes long (1.4 miles, only two stations)....yet gives you an achievement. That's where you feel DTG's laziness and ways they come up to justify the price.
All 5 achievements work, and the 4 scenarios can be completed with full points.

Very Disapointed. Its Just the Same As All the Other 37X Units DTG Produce. Same Sounds, Same Physics and Same Cab. £11.99 for a Re-Model of an Existing Unit

The Class 378 for Train Simulator is a great add on, bringing 4 scenarios around the London area, as well as being quick drive compatible.
My main problems with it are:
-The Sounds, it could be mistaken for a 377.
-Doors, they open too fast and close too fast.
Otherwise, it is good but as a DTG tradition, more on the expensive side.

Absolutely apalling sounds... there are no 'rail' / 'wheel' sounds at all, and no sounds whatsoever when you're not accelerating or braking. How could they have messed up these sounds so badly?! The list goes on - no wiper sounds, etc, etc. As well as that, it's just a recycled version of the 377, with a different passenger view model. Very, very poor. In fact the worst DLC I've ever bought for TS.
