I highly recommend this train set, and if for no other reason, then allow me to give you two reasons: (1) Great Scenery; and (2) the color of the train. No where, that I now of, will you see colors like these trains in the U.S.

This DLC is fantastic. I would have liked to see it come with a route included. Only problem is in passenger view, you dont get full 360 view. Very good, could drop the price a bit.

The Talent 2 is a familiar sight along German railways, particularly in Bavaria, and it's a very welcome addition to the TS catalogue, after a long wait. Pros: +Acceleration and braking are very good +PZB and SIFA now function as they should +Great visuals +Great sounds +Nice scenarios Cons: -Controls are a big laggy Overall, a must-buy for any German enthusiast, and a great addition to Munich-Garmisch

I usually play more of the British lines and trains but this is by far my favourite train in TS. It is awesome. I already had the Talent 2 in one of the other packs, I bought this one to gain access to the extra scenarios which are also some of the best routes in the game although pretty straight forward. Quick acceleration and braking, looks and feels great. Highly recommended.

This train is really fun to drive and looks very nice. It is fairly similar to the BR 426 (the train included in the Munich to Garmisch - Partenkirchen route), but does sill look different. Overall I would recommend the loco (especially when on sale).

A beautiful visual model and quite good sounds. So what is the problem? Well, the driving physics have been set up so that each press of the 'A' and 'D' keys (power and brakes) results in a lumpy, rough surge in power. It's the unsmoothest train I've ever used in TS. Just press 'A' once from a standstill and the train jerks forward into motion. Each subsequent press of 'A' results in the same thing. It's the same with braking. Now, thankfully (and with a lot of use of Google Translate), I found a fix for this on a German forum (railsim.de). But we shouldn't need to be fixing such obvious problems ourselves. If DTG could make smaller power and braking increments in the 'simulation' files for this train, it would come heavily recommended. As it is, well not everyone is confident to browse foreign language forums and install files where the instructions are in German - so I can not recommend as is.

Great looking and takes off very fast this train will get up an over any mountain it needs to but you have to be careful as it is very fast its a good thing that the breaks work just as quick as you need them to..Very good all around and to me this train reminds me of a very famous sports car and has the speed and looks to go along with it.

Overall recommended. Besides Mittenwaldbahn, Nürnberg-Regensburg also ships its own 442. The München-Garmisch scenarios are fine. There is a reflection on the windshield and as usual with most German trains with LCD screens, driving in the dark isn't really nice as the eye adapts to those bright white areas. That aside, it's a nice train to drive for non-express passenger services across various routes. On downgrade heavy routes, might want to move the air brakes towards application to isolate from the electric brakes. Prefer to run as a single (4-car) set as the electric brakes are only functional in the first car, so the 8-car set has half the effort - so it takes a while to stop. (It's how TS works.) No big deal, you'll learn to work around it.

This add-on is basically awesome. You can't really fault about this train to be honest. It accelerates and deccelerates very quickly and the cabin view is definitely one of the best where the route map is a nice touch (Though it 's a bit blurred if you set the setting to Full HD for the resolution if I am not wrong.) and so are the seats , tables and the interior panellings. As for the cockpit , the level of detail is definitely much better than the commuter trains that DTG had released over the past few years (BR423 , BR424 , BR426) and cockpit is nicely finished too. Go and buy this add on without a second thought. You won't regret it and trust me , you 're going to have a good time with it by running it on the Munich-Garmisch Partenkirchen route , the Berlin-Wittenburg route if you want some realistic operations or any other German routes you can think of if you are not too concerned about it.

UPDATE: 3/22/15 - DTG updated the trainsset and the PZB and SIFA now works as I would expect while driving a German train. I rated this 7.5 out of 10 due to the systems but still recommended this train back I first reviewed this, now I up my rating to 9.5 due to I drove it more recently and was glad the problems I had was fixed. This train is nice and takes off and slows down quickly. This train is really a must for any German route that has mountains. Unlike from the other German commuters that DTG made, the cab is very finished and detailed. I would rate this 9.5/10 - Great train, good physics, well detailed, and good sounds!
