Don't buy unless for 15 or less.
Over 15 I DO NOT recommend!
Game is great for diddling around with mechs... not much else.
Huge massive negative that I really hate! Is you encounter the final boss from mission zero! The jank as FUCK camera controls. On top of that the mech customization part ain't a thing for the first several hours it seems.
Can't do weapon groups or anything
Not gonna go on about graphics and shit but this don't got graphics nor gameplay to back up the incredibly dated look

I had read the comments and still decided to try to buy the game on sale (about 9€). After 75 minutes I stopped playing, and after consulting with my pillow, I came to a conclusion: ask for a refund.
I had a really good time with EDF4 and EDF5 so I thought that, despite some drawbacks, the game would be decent enough to play but that's the main problem. I thought I was used to the problem of not mapping the controls and that it wouldn't affect me but I didn't know they meant this.
Pros:
* The mecha creation and customization system is pretty good. Except for the big problem that took me out of the game.
Cons:
* The controls. You can't map different weapons to different buttons like you could do with the Fencer in EDF, where you could fire your left and right weapon independently. That's what I was looking for. What you have is categories of weapons. MAIN weapon which encompasses the two weapons you carry in your hands and any weapon that falls into that group. They ALL fire with the same button, at the same time. Then in another button there are the LOCK and in another one the MELEE (I didn't get to try them) and then there is a last category that is the CRITICS that allows you to select a weapon, only one, and separate it from the group to another button.
If, for example, the weapons you want to shoot separately are in the MAIN category, forget it. Forget about the Fencer that allowed you to carry a long-range weapon in one hand and a short-range weapon in the other and use them according to the situation. That doesn't work here. You are going to fire the shotgun and the long-range rifle with the same button even if you only want to fire one.
(And if there is a way I have not seen it).
For me that has ruined the game. I liked, and very much, the creation of mechas but it's useless if in order to advance in that feature you are asked to play a game that in the end will be to aim and press the same button repeatedly to launch all your arsenal to the same enemy. That level of control customization is missing and that's what made me ask for a refund.
So if you're expecting anything like the EDF experience here, I don't recommend it.
I honestly think it has potential and although I don't think they will fix the problems in the game, I would love for the developers to take note of this mistake and if they decide to go ahead with a sequel they will fix them in the next installment.
