Easy to get in to, hard to master. Simple controls but complex mechanics. All it needs is more of what it has; units, aircraft, maps etc.

It's the best air combat game I've played in a long time. Great controls, awesome damage models, well optimized, and its really easy to set up dynamic missions. Lots of replayability.

The Goldylocks game between the arcady-ness of ace combat, and the complexity of dcs and war thunder.

Probably the sweetest spot between arcade and simulation. Still early access, so things are changing, but IMO it's worth the money even at this state. Plus, workshop has a lot of good stuff.

The best flight sim lite of all time. Incredible game loop, music, and vibe, infinitely replayable. Easily playable on controller to kick back and have a good time while doing naval operations / SEAD / DEAD / CAP / CAS.

I enjoy it. It's a somewhat realistic combat flight simulator that doesn't require weapons-grade autism and a recreation of an F16 cockpit in your bedroom to play. Could benefit from another map and more planes, but I won't hold that against an early access game.

A very unique and special game for all flyers. The aircraft are all fictional hybrids of real aircraft.
For aspiring pilots new to the flying game genre this is AN EXCEPTIONAL GAME. More than anyone, the Ace Combat and Project Wingman Crowd stand to benefit the most from this game as this will start to ground their world with some physics. G forces and consequently G lock, real stalls and spins that force you to fly instead of “throttle up problems gone” that arcade titles are known for. Depending on your plane and stability assist you can cobra or high g similar to the other games.
For the heavy sim pilots, this is a great little vacation when you’re burnt out.
If you’re an ace wanting a simple game to stay generally proficient on flying, this can be it.
If you’re a nugget this is a great space to start learning about notching, radar, wez, lofting, aoa, and with the damage model a more realistic flight experience compared to arcade.
Flying through AA fire and take a round the wrong way? Right Engine Fire.
Your plane will now perform as if it has an engine out vs the arcade style of game where your plane performance is not tied to the amount of damage sustained.
Take off, expending your ordinance, and limping it back to base missing a wing is rite of passage in this game.
The beauty of this lies in simple to fly difficult to master.
Runs great on steam deck and hey…. You get to drop nuclear weapons.
