Please, someone, explain to me what happened here.
I thought I'd get a fun, maybe funny story about helping a little demon get stronger (it would be beyond refreshing to get to fight as the cute monster, not against one), instead, I got a story that seems to be about a sad little demon literally bashing shadows through what looks like post-grief induced depression, if the opening cinematic is anything to go by.
- The music (or rather song in this case as it plays on repeat) is great, but it's incredibly quiet: I have noise canceling headphones and usually having the volume set to 4 is plenty, here I need 10 just to properly hear the sad, but touching music and I have no way of making the other sounds (walking, weapon sounds and such) quieter as they feel way too loud.
- In fact, I can't access any options or menus at all, so I can't change the horrible controls: F normal attack, G spirit attack, E to control your floating friend and move him with I, J, K, L - oi, I have a mouse, let me use it properly since the original character will stay still anyway. This is not clucky, this is horrible with no way to make it playable.
- The camera won't follow the character when he turns and it'll sometimes resist when I'm trying to move the with the mouse for no reason.
- For what you get the price tag of 30€ is absurd, for the controls alone it should be at least half that.
In short: the presentation is nice, but the gameplay and controls are beyond bad and can't be changed.

This game its good, as long i play to the end, but story is ambiguous and i not like it, and mechanics still good for me, and OST too good from the others i feel, maybe that why i buy this game, and the problem is the price to expensive 30$ for simple game like this.

Game runs at sub-30 FPS with no settings to change it on a mid range PC. The frame rate stutters so bad it gave me a headache after playing for 20 minutes. I had to request a refund.

Short and cute. Didn't experience many issues with play-ability. The music was pretty good, mostly. Can definitely get stale before the end.

Relaxing game with a good soundtrack. Simple gameplay with fights, gathering and stories. The story of Kuuta and Kanna is sweet.

I really like this game, after years I finally found a good game that can get me into it. I really suggest it, the music, the style, the story, the feelings are just really good. The team is still working to upgrade and fix the game, it changed a lot from when it came out and it's gorgeous. The price is really cheap for a game like this, for me this is a "must to have" game.

EDIT2: Gameplay loop remains the same, but feels more balanced now, finished this playthrough clocking at 6 hours, definitely more enjoyable. The team seems to be improving bit by bit, so if the visuals entice you, give it a go. The music is also very good :)
Hoping they expand on this world they built... you can't leave us hanging!
EDIT: Midway through my 4th playthrough after the 1.02 update, will update my impressions soon.
Do you like cuteness and can withstand pain, a lot of pain and frustration? If not, steer clear of this game.
There are no customizable video settings (outside of a simple "Quality" toggle, no windowed/borderless mode) and no control remaps. Definitely not KB/M friendly.
The game is split between "Free roam" (exploring, collecting mushrooms, diary entries, saving spirits while dodging an undefeatable enemy) and "Missions" featuring combat (pure combat or ESCORT mission\protect NPC types).
The game is SLOW. Along with some of the gameplay decisions, it's aggravating:
- Progress is locked by invisible walls and Mission health requirements.
- You have to flee an enemy in free-roam? Kuuta will stop and look back instead of keep running away to safety. The dodge mechanic is just you and your oversized bag tripping forward.
- Trying to save spirits and they flee underwater, your character can't swim...
- "GIT GUD!" No lock-on during combat, so some of your attacks will just miss the enemies. There are flying, teleporting and decoy type enemies waiting to spoil your day.
- Have to refill your health? You have to stay still for a moment
- Getting stun-locked by multiple enemies hitting you at once, interrupting your combos and charged attacks
- Damage output remains pretty much the same throughout the majority of the game, you will feel you can't dispatch enemies soon enough
- Escort missions will have you running from one side of the map to the other in order to defeat enemies, while new enemies spawn in. You are not exactly fast, this can get frustratingly difficult when the game throws every enemy type and the kitchen sink at you.
I didn't experience noticeable performance issues, but the game will misbehave from time to time, from enemies freezing and becoming unkillable, the camera becoming unresponsive to a progress soft lock because I tackled Missions out of order.
Played, tried to mod it, saw it to the end. Overall, the presentation, character design and story (which are incredibly charming!) does not outweigh those negatives. And it pains me, because with some tweaks, this could be an enjoyable, albeit short game.

Really cute and relaxing game!
I really got no performance issues like many others despite not having the best PC.
Plugging in a controller (even if you're not using it) might be the way to fix it, that's at least how it was for some other games.
The only negative thing I got to say so far is that the vocal song that constantly plays on the island is starting to get really annoying after a while and I wish there was an option to toggle it or switch it for the instrumetal version of the track or something similar.
Performance Issues
That game's performance is atrocious. Whether you're doing combinations, basic combat, or adjusting the camera, you'll be lucky to acquire more than 20 frames consistently.
I've barely played for two hours, and so far the game is dreadful and irritable. It reminds me of a baby's first game prototype.
It irritates me so much how different music is looped and cycled through every sudden moment a new interaction happens. Do not misunderstand the music is good in and of itself. But two hours of nonstop playback of the same song? No.
The generic stock-sound effects are annoying as well. Every grunt, monster scream it's just bad.
The Slow Gameplay
The majority of the game revolves around gated progression on a small island. Do you want to face the next boss?
Oh well, gain 2 more hearts. This seems simple enough, but you need to collect 8 spirits, and you have to return to the statue each time you find one to place them due to a tedious spirit that chases you, which takes up a lot of your time. It's dumb.
Tries to be Zelda by not being Zelda
Parts of the game definitely bear similarities to the thing it is attempting to imitate. Yet, it does it awfully.
