A good piece of kit, lots of details, nice physics and great to run. The scenarios are only standard and the engine sound is cack, but otherwise a good DLC.

I have to say Ilove this engine. It's by DTM meaning it is very good. Accurate sounds, lots of lighting settings, opening doors and windows and some interesting rollingstock. I highly recomend getting it!

Although I bought the SD45 for the freight cars, I couldnt resist the urge to play with the diesel. The sounds, quality, and other parts of the engine are just magnificent. The freight cars arev the true reason why i bought this engine, so i could make some historical consists for my UP steam engines. The cars included are UP Low Gondolas (empty, log, and pipes), UP 50FT Boxcars, UP 100Ton Coal Cars, an Airslide Hopper, and the CA-4 Caboose.

Overall, both the Union Pacific and Southern Pacific SD45s are great units to have. Both offer opening cab doors and windows with an operating gyrolight for the Southern Pacific model. One of the only bad things about them is how inaccurate the engine sounds are but I'm that can easily be fixed with a sound pack. All other sounds are great.

This DLC is cool for playing like in 70 or a bit other times, yeah, but its also has pros and cons. So, Pros: 1. Not bad model, but could be better. 2. Freight cars. 3. Not a lot but anyway cool functions, like opening windows, door and... mirror? 4. Cool horn sound but could be better. 5. Cool sound at notch 7-8. 6. The only UP SD45(-2) dlc. Neutral: 1. Too heavy wheel knoch for freight cars, but for locomotive its ok. Cons: 1. Awful startup, like a TV sound and idle. Doesnt like prototype in real life, same with idle sound. 2. Shiny model. 3. Havent got ND version 4. Very small distance of horn playing, on DD35A was better. 5. Except air hoses on the locomotive and the cars. 6. Not the best bell sound 7. Doesnt get updates bruh. 6/10 I think But me such as can live with it. Would be cool if it had weathered/dirty texture... yes.

If you want some UP power with some additional grunt to it, this is it. The UP SD45 is a capable locomotive that can handle anything you throw at it from express intermodal to heavy drag freights. However the fuel tank capacity is not at the correct 3200 gallon capacity, so I am going to have to deduct a mark off for that. Other than that, I would certainly recommend this locomotive. A solid 9/10 from myself.

A nicely designed loco which comes with good a selection of wagons like boxcars of different colours and branding, steel wagons "forget what their called", gondola's filled with logs or steel pipes and a caboose. The cab has windows and doors that you can open or shut. Various light switches work too like the cab, instruments and steps. Included scenarios are standard only and not career. First one just involves a basic introduction with a short run and the rest are either shunting or traveling long various parts of Sherman Hill. One word of interest to note is the features included in the SP SD45 are the exactly the same as the UP SD45 for Sherman Hill despite a dollar difference in price.

Very much enjoy this model. It's starting to show its age, sure, but it is certainly worth the price now. Sound is decent, model looks good. Fairly interactive cab.

Great Product, Realistic physics, features and fun to drive. DTM always has great products. The Cab lights lag you and the horn isn't accurate, but i recommend it.

Fabulous! One of the finest Diesel locomotives I've seen. Everything about it screams attention to detail. Working windows, doors, mirrors, separate switches for class lights, number boards and platform lights. Great sounds. One of the best air horns I've heard, nice strong bell and a perfect engine sound loop. Includes 5 scenarios for Sherman Hill. If only DTG's loco's could be this good.
