This game is well made but I won't play it again.
The worst thing about it for me is the pointless laser/blow torch gun. It was neat for 5 minutes and then got burdensome and derivative. I'd have liked to use a sniper rifle more than a dumb laser/blowtorch but this game doesn't let you. How about some silenced AR action? No... It wants you to use the laser/blowtorch wherever the devs could squeeze a stupid chicken wire fence in, like a knife couldn't handle that, and hides loot in metal boxes that require it.
IMO that thing is just super lame. You have to use that stupid tool all the time. I won't be replaying this game because of how annoying that one thing is and how often you're required to use it. It's just some pet mechanic from someone on the dev team who forced it into the game and the game is less for it.
Story is great, levels are cool, NPC's are well done and the voice acting is good. The music is really cool and unique and gets the blood flowing during cool story beats, but the f****** laser blowtorch shit kind of ruined it for me.
I enjoyed the game the most where I could use the silenced pistol to get through levels with no/minimal detection.
I would recommend it but while recommending it I would probably sh** all over the laser gun while explaining how good the game is.
Whoever made that thing, I'm not a fan of yours. It's a terrible idea.

Some good, a lot of bad.
The good.
-Arenas where there's a lot of action and shooting that doesn't involve tricky navigation or searching for quest items.
The bad.
-Clicking E to pickup ammo and weapons (should have been proximity auto-pickup)
-Story areas where you have to navigate brainless quest specific item hunts and navigation areas that require a cutting tool that achieved nothing but slowing down the game further.
-Excessive screen shake and recoil, blinding effects (muzzleflash and environmental smoke) which looks good in screenshots but makes enemies feel spongy when the only reliable weapon that uses a scope is always scarce in ammo.
Some parts of the game were really poorly done, like the whole intro sequence of the game which I guess looking back was a bit of a warning of what lies ahead. I didn't find the bosses particularly fun to fight either, sure they are really heavily armored but the fights were just boring. I tried to play thru it till the end but after 6 hours I just wanted it to end.

Minus some annoying non-shooting levels in between, this is an exemplary shooter. It feels really good to play. Maneuvering between cover to avoid getting flanked is a lot of fun, and playing it on the second to hardest difficulty was enough a challenge where it forced me to focus without being unfair. Plus you get to kill Nazis. 10/10

I really enjoyed this game, especially its immersive atmosphere and story. Although I initially dropped it years ago, I'm glad I gave it another try — this time, I was hooked and finished it in just a few sessions.
Great game.

It's hard to believe that this game was released in 2014. It looks and feels amazing and it's fun as hell.

On the surface, this game may come off as an explosion-riddled, guns-blazing, high-octane, Nazi killing shooter.
It is, don't get me wrong.
But alongside those qualities, it also carries a deep and lengthy story of the cruelties of war, prejudice, and revenge, which all come together for an emotional climax.
Intense gunplay, but it is marred by stealth sections, which feel forced at best and don't blend well with the bombastic elements of the gunplay.
But overall, the voice acting, the writing and even the gameplay bring a powerful package that you should not miss out on.
