Lots of fun, some of the most fun I've had on Call of Duty as an OG player since 2009. However, many many many drawbacks. The game is purely online, meaning that you can't play solo unless you have an internet connection. Steam maintenance every Tuesday will knock you offline if you're in the middle of something. Latency issues galore. Constant packet burst which makes you jitter all over the place and causes the game to be inconsistent. The game crashes...a lot. This hasn't been an issue for me up until now, however players have reported having constant crashes for months and months. For me, the issue seems to be related to third party apps (like Xbox Game Bar) but also the error message I'm getting is insisting there are either corrupted game files, or a problem with my graphics card itself. The game leaks VRAM and this has been an issue for months and months with seemingly no fix in sight. The game is 100% absolutely littered with microtransactions and cosmetics. It's definitely not your OG unnamed soldier CoD if that's what you're looking for. It also causes some jarring gameplay issues. I've definitely shot someone square in the head with a sniper, only to miss because I didn't actually hit the hitbox, I hit the cosmetic instead. The game has so much potential to be great but the constant crashing, lagging and everything in between makes it insufferable sometimes.

10/10 game, this game is the closest you are going to get to killing yourself. If this game doesn't kill you, it will happily kill off your PC and ruin it. This game is signing a contract with the embodiment of the devil, but somehow it is worse? This is how impressive the game is, like really.

just garbage bugs that ruin gameplay and make playing zombies unfun consistently, easter eggs are quick and easy which ruins most of the allure to doing them and half the bosses are just enemies that are already in the game. garbage content overall. terrible multiplayer experience filled to the brim with racism and bigotry

This is the perfect game if you like playing the same game every year with a little bit of new guns, movenent and graphics, otherwise all the same

Obvious cheaters are rampant in multiplayer and some people actually support this. Can't even disable crossplay. Campaign and zombies are actually fine.

In the history of gaming itself a games update caused blue screen crashes to the whole pc community , and to reduce cheaters there solution was to make a console only ranked play section , which means they completely ignored the whole pc players. Worst team ever in the history of game development and support . They made the whole lot of pc's to risk with their single update by bsod ing multiple times the pc's. who will answer if anything happens to our devices ? .. game barely launchs, so many packet burst issues and almost unplayable, highly recommended for people with high blood pressure

Maybe it's just because I'm getting older, maybe it's just because I was in my prime during the OG MW2 days, but Call of Duty is garbage now. Skill based match making is garbage. Micro transactions are garbage. All of the skins to appeal to the 10 year old kids that love Fortnite are garbage. Why do developers just keep adding more things to these games? Just make a game that focuses on FPS. I'm over all the cartoon characters running around making me explode into confetti when I die. Lets go back to the days of unamed soldiers, on a map that has actually been designed well, and just play PvP. I'm sure I sound like a boomer writing this but I miss the days of looking forward to playing COD. No wonder this game has such mixed reviews as well as the last couple games that have come out. Weird how the further you stray from the original recipe of success, the less people like your games.

Been unable to play since the drop of the Season 2 update. Game continually causes a major system error that blue screens my system, and it seems to stem from the kernel level anticheat COD is using. Only solution I've been able to find online requires the user to disable some very important kernel protections on the system; this is an absolutely ridiculous issue given that their anti-cheat is already a poor excuse for preventing hacking. If they can fix the whole BSOD issue, I'll at least remove the negative review, but doubt I would give a positive review until they find a better solution than just a kernel-level anticheat security risk.

It was brought to my attention, by the attached video, that this game utilizes a DLL file tied to the camera function on my device. However, nothing on this game requires camera functionality. I view this as a privacy and security issue, no fault of Valve. I think people purchasing this Service, as that's technically what it is, should know that Activision is actively, pun intended, breaching privacy beyond the scope of what the game is required to. This is illegal under 18 U.S.C. Section 2511 because likely, this is done without public knowledge.
