Wow, the GPU is at 100% all the time. The game is good, but I'm worried about the GPU usage. It's one of the few games that's done this to me, even playing everything at minimum.
I have a mid-range PC, so maybe when I upgrade I'll give the game another try, since what it offers is so good.
In the meantime, my review will be negative until they improve the performance.
Update #1:
I upgraded my graphics card from a GTX 1060 6GB to an RX 6600 8GB. I saw a 40% frame rate increase in many games, comparable to the 2060/3050. I'll update this review with the next sale. I'm sure it will be positive!

It's an extremely poorly made game. Just the same game as medival Dynasty absolute boring slop. Save your money. Take up knitting instead.
Framerate drops down to the level of a Powerpoint presentation. Uninteresting story. (well non existent to be frank). grindy building, you just do the same day over and over again.
Combat is laggy and bad. There is almost no content here at all. I gave the game 15 hours and then feeling I gave it a good chance og getting fun. DID NOT HAPPEN.

Excellent game, great graphics, still wish there was more to do, but for the price it offers plenty, with updates still coming.
Ive read alot of negative reviews on here and honestly I don't see the validity of some.
This is not marketed, priced, or even alluded to being a AAA title so I don't know why people expect AAA textures on character models. They look fine and character models aren't the point of the game or environment. All of the dynasty games have mediocre character models.
As far as performance, It runs fine on my 6750 XT, like perfect, Ultra/High. very rare stutter or framerate loss, some strain on processor when you get big exhorbitant villages or when it loads those villages but I mean, that is any game with this sort of system. I suppose those people would prefer build limits like AAA titles impose to avoid these performance issues? I don't know. I play with ultra/high settings and don't get the hate.
This is a small developer so don't expect an update every week, but there are updates, and the game is getting better with more time.

Look...I want to like this game. In theory it has everything I want, and I love Medieval Dynasty. But to like the game I'd have to be able to play the game. It runs HORRIBLY. I've tried every combination of settings I can, and either the game looks like trash and it mostly runs, or it looks tolerable and gets horrible lag every couple minutes. It feels like the developers never really optimized anything and its a nightmare.

I really wanted to love this game, especially as medieval dynasty is one of my favourite base/town builder and survival games. I love the first person, rpg concept this has, difficult to find city builders like this but I just couldn't get into it. Something about this game just feels so lacking and empty compared to medieval dynasty. Sure, the buildings look better and the world is beautiful but it feels hollow in comparison to other game.

Really Enjoying the game playing with friends however only got about a nights worth of play in and the multiplayer lag has made it unplayable since. Really want to play but can't as such can't recommend at this time. please fix the netcode and I'll be happy to flip this around.

This game is pretty good for the bulk of it. Crafting, building, management, all pretty solid.
But seriously, don't bother yet if you're planning on playing co-op. This game has some of the worst netcode I've ever experienced. You will be rubber-banding more than you are not rubber-banding. That is not a joke.

I’ve spent dozens of hours in Sengoku Dynasty building and managing my village, and now that raids have been added, the game feels completely different — in a good way. Defending what you’ve built adds tension without taking away the cozy, immersive vibe this game nails.
What I Love:
• The landscapes and architecture capture Feudal Japan beautifully
• Village management is satisfying — setting up automation and assigning jobs feels rewarding
• Extra cultural layers like sake brewing, tea, and spiritual needs make it unique compared to other survival sims
• Raids bring just enough challenge to keep things interesting without overwhelming casual players
What Could Improve:
• Progression slows down after about 10–15 hours
• Some repetitive gathering and crafting loops
• A few small bugs, but nothing game-breaking so far
If you liked Medieval Dynasty or games like Bellwright, you’ll feel right at home here. Sengoku Dynasty gives you a reason to plan, build, and now defend your village — and it’s been one of my favorite management/survival experiences so far. Excited to see where the devs take it next!

Sengoku Dynasty is a game where you survive, build, and explore in old Japan. It's still being made, but it's already fun!
What's the game about?
You start with nothing in a historic Japan torn by war. Your goal is to survive, gather things, make tools, and build a village. You'll grow your village, get more people to live there, and become stronger. It's all about managing what you have, exploring the world, and making your character and village better over time.
Cool Stuff About the Game:
Beautiful World: The game looks amazing! You'll see pretty forests and calm beaches. It really feels like you're in old Japan, and exploring is relaxing.
Lots to Build and Make: You can craft many things like tools, weapons, clothes, and building parts. Building your village is also a big part of the game. You start small and watch it grow into a busy place.
Stay Alive: You need to eat and drink to survive. The weather also affects you. This makes the game more challenging and real.
Grow Your Character: As you play, you learn new skills. You can get better at farming, hunting, or building. There are also missions and people to talk to, which helps you understand the world.
Sengoku Dynasty is still in "Early Access. Its much like MD in certain parts.

Utterly disappointing after Medieval Dynasty. From the start it greets you with poor performance even though the visual doesn't really differ from MD. It seems bigger but it lacks features that made Medieval Dynasty great.
1. Population management.
Villagers can't form families and can't have kids, so you just cram people randomly into houses with maximum available number of beds.
2. Job management
Villagers don't have stats, so you just recruit whoever and assign any job. And it will be done at the fixed time of the day regardless of when you assigned the job.
3. Crop management
A single field can grow only one type of crops when operated by villagers and it does it on the same fixed hour. There are no stages through different seasons and there's no actual work on the field done by the villagers — everything just grows on itself when a villager is assigned to the field.
But instead we have:
1. Bandits that respawn at numerous indestructible small camps scattered around the world every season.
2. Clunky combat system that feels like it was designed just for the sake of it.
3. Annoying raids instead of taxes.
4. Progress that's locked by the "occupied regions" that you have to "liberate" or you won't have efficient recipes to sustain your growing villages. But to liberate said regions you have to grow your villages without those recipes.
5. Broken economy (there are numerous merchants in the world but there's no point to bother growing crops to sell it as crops are extremely cheap. Instead you can get insanely rich by just chiseling rocks).
6. AI-art
I tried to love this game, I gave it a lot of chances.
But trying to build a farming village finally broke me. I tried to find a relatively flat plain to build my fields, but even a 5x5 field (which is a maximum for a villager to work on, even though the field itself can be up to 8x8) is a pain in the a** to place because of the "lack of flat surface".
I just can't anymore...
