the remaster is horrible. grab the original. I dont know how people cant see the differences. the Camera is utter garbage, so are the soundeffects. Gun sounds like a peashooter and they use a cheap Arial font. what is that?

This game is hard to play. I kept getting lost and unable to progress. Bosses are hard to defeat. I had to try hundreds of times. Youtube videos helped a little but did not show all the details to be helpful enough. What I saw on youtube videos did not happen when I played out the same scene. I played the original Shadowman CD game more than 2 decades ago, and I finished the game with no problem. By all means buy this game when it is on sale, but definitely not at the regular price.

Fantastic remaster of an often overlooked game from the 5th generation of games. I played this a long time ago on the N64, but never got to beat it back then. Playing this now was a great experience and even has cut content not present on any of the original versions of the game. The new lighting is great and there's even a hard mode that makes the game a lot harder.
As for the game itself, it does have some problems, mainly that the levels are confusing and the collectibles are a real pain to collect. Luckily, there are a lot of good guides out there that make it manageable. My expectations were far exceeded for this remaster and I may even sacrifice my sanity to try to beat the game on hard mode without any deaths.

I love Shadow Man more than The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. It's an action-adventure Metroidvania-like game. It differs in that it adds horror, and is more linear in some ways.
Thanks for bringing back one of my favourite games, Nightdive Studios! And thank you Tim Haywood for returning and doing your thing with the fantastic audio!
