WAY better than the first one! Definitely needs work, especially with the way the police cars act.... but all in all, it's a really well made game! Fun and silly at the same time~<3

Decent stealth game all-in-all, definitely scratched the itch I needed from the genre
Relatively short game, 25-35 hours or so, but also the right price for that amount on content.

Ok, so... where to start? I guess I should start with the good.
- Game has a satisfying grind loop.
- Controls are fine.
- Environments and layouts are fine.
- The game is a fun time sink.
- Cool tech and devices.
- Simple but nice lore you can put together in the background. It isn't very deep, but its more than the first game had.
- There is a cat and you can pet it.
The bad, and this list is going to be a lot longer:
- Tutorials are.... busted. Plain and simple. I've had tutorials for mechanics come up for the first time on like my thirtieth time doing something.
- Time is WAY too fast, like, an hour in game lasts like six minutes, which, sure, a fair amount of time, but when routines only last an hour or two, it makes it really hard to get in anywhere and then get back out while grabbing things. If you have to pick a lock to get in, half your time is gone already.
- Minor glitches here and there.
- No discovering tips yourself for later - what I mean is, in the first game each location had tips you could either learn yourself or you could buy info of. Either way you did it, the info was saved for your future use. Now its either you buy it or you have to memorize everything yourself.
- Much of the game feels undone. Like some have said, almost like a beta build or something.
- They finally added a save mechanic in the menu, but you can't actually use it when you'd want to... say like when you're hiding and have to find an escape route? You can save only in open areas you aren't trespassing on. Which means, if you go to one of the "big" heists, you better hope you can get it all in one go, because you can't save during it.
- Heists are a cool idea... bad execution though. The heists are just unique locations you have to explore. Personally I feel calling them heists is just a misnomer. Because you aren't actually stealing much of anything, at least not compared to what you steal everywhere else.
- The drones... it's kind of clear the drones took inspiration from games like more recent Assassin's Creed and the Watch Dogs games (at least Watch Dogs 2, I never played any past that one honestly) - which is fine, you know, letting you scout an area and plan routes and all of that... except you can't change the camera view. You are locked at like a 40 degree angle the entire time. If you want to select something with it, you have to move the drone backwards, up, or down. Which, if you're in a tighter location.... well sorry, that's a no-go.
While I personally enjoy the game, I can't in good conscience recommend it to anyone. It feels incomplete. Its buggy. Its unintuitive in a lot of ways. Its less interesting than the first game mechanically. And just... I don't think it's worth 20$. If you do want to get it, just wait for it to go on sale.
Ok, so after playing a bit more.... yeah I can't in good conscience even recommend this game unless you can get it for like $5 or less. I've finished the story since posting this original review, and its not good. Like, I didn't expect a masterful narrative or anything, but christ.... it's just bad. Heists are even worse than I originally thought - the final heist in the game has like a total of 5 different items you can steal. It's ridiculously easy if you take some time to think about it, and it's not satisfying at all. Some of the other heists are jsut absolute garbage. For instance, the heist "Do Not Disturb the Devil" in which you are stealing from a haunted place while a rejected resident evil boss walks slowly around the area... oh, did I say slowly? I mean, slowly, until you take a single step and it rushes at you at mach 3. And again, YOU CAN'T SAVE DURING THE HEIST. So if you want to get everything there, you either have to make multiple trips between it and your base, or you have to get everything perfect. The enemy has a set path, sure, but it also seems to just leave that path randomly for no apparent reason. It only goes through like 3 rooms, but the second it hears even the slightest step, BOOM, it's in whichever of those rooms is closest to you. The game is unfinished, broken in several ways, and seems like, honestly, the people making it just wanted to make money and nothing else. It's not a good game. Frankly, if I hadn't sank so many hours into the game already, I'd refund it. So, yeah. Unless you can get it for like $5 and you have absolutely nothing else you want to use that money on, don't get it.

Not a bad game. Really fun when its fun. TONS of reused assets. Really hard to justify a whole new game here.
However, it is fun in the same vain as Thief Sim 1.
Thief Sim 3, if its ever made, will need to be far different than the previous 2. Otherwise, it will be a solid confirmation money is the only driver here.

Great game, had a lot of fun, but it lacks replayability. It makes up that loss however with its challenging but fun gameplay and its' very extensive storyline.

Pros
- Challenging but not too hard
- Simple controls that don't feel lacking
- Straightforward gameplay/missions/side missions
- Progress at your own pace
- You can pet the cat!
Cons
- NPC lines are veryyy repetitive and can get a little annoying
- Cell phone use is a little clunky
- Graphics are pretty basic (its a stretch to call this a con)
I quite enjoyed that there wasn't a huge change from the first game, because that was great too. This one just expands a bit more on the concepts that were already there. (Excluding DLC)

This game is good and bad, let me explain:
Pros:
-Pretty decent graphics
-The heists expand from TS1 and are a fun challenge
-The people actually feel like people unlike TS1
-More items to steal
-The story is way longer
-Much better models
-More QOL tweaks
-More overall replayability
-You can steal the President's phone
Cons:
-Gets really boring after you finish the story
-Devil's Lair should've had more of a reward
-Shooting Range serves absolutely no purpose besides a mild joke in the description
-Apparently(Though I haven't experienced it for myself) it has crappy optimization
-There's only 2 neighborhoods in contrast to TS1's 3 neighborhoods
-There's only a few heists, most of which are just there to fill in the gaps
-Dogs could've been a cool mechanic, but instead are more annoying tenants
-The cloaking device was heavily nerfed from TS1, which ruins the fun of it
-New game+ is nowhere to be seen, one of my favorite parts from TS1
-Going into George's Store causes him to freak out(It's a flipping store, just why?)
-Lastly, it feels like an asset flip of TS1 with a few more mechanics and voice acting
Thank you for listening!

overall, super fun game. Expands on thief simulator 1 quite alot. The only issue is that it is HEAVILY unoptimized, which sucks.
