No game is ever the same, and the even as a solo player game it is very engaging.
Very one more turn and even when you put it down for a few weeks you can easily pick it back up and get back into it.

This game is not for everyone (as much as I wish it was) but for me its one of the best ones I have in my library.
Pro's:
-The sheer amount of variety im pretty sure you can play this game for 2000-3000 hours and still spot something new (I only just found that some arachnid planets have the chance of hiveminds evolving.... not fun)
-Still getting free updates despite the game being over 4 years old now on steam and they actually have some meat on the updates as well like you will come back and find something new you can do after each update 90% of the time.
- Really in depth even for a 4X type game and scratches the itch that Dominion cant for me
- DLC is pretty solid as well (despite the whole no ship design thing yet though I think that is one day planned) and cheap.
Con's
- UI will make you want to question your sanity at points while its understandable after about 5-6 hours your first game will be hard unless you search up like a UI basics vid (that I recommend will actually let you enjoy your first game more)
- Its complexity for me is its greatest strength but can be a weakness for others because this aint like civilisation 4x this is a layer beyond that though it would be so much simpler if they just turn the 415 page Manuel into like a 10-15 page beginner friendly version or basic tutorial (To actually play the game you dont need all that information to enjoy the game I would watch like a 30 min tutorial on the basics to actually enjoy the first game more)
Although good news is I think the UI side will be fixed (or at least improved) in the future with new art etc now seemingly becoming more common in the updates (A great way to reach more folks if it looks pretty just the UI now)
Overall for me like a solid 8.5/10 if the UI can be improved easily a 9.5 this is a type of game where if the world ended and I was stuck with no internet you can bet I would still be playing this for a good 30 years after the fact.
