CLARIFICATION! I'm giving a negative review to this game, but still I recommend to buy it, if you find it in sale and only if you've already played the first game of this saga, otherwise just go and buy the first one which is better.
So now let's go to the reason why this is receiving a negative review, even though, taken alone, could be considered a good game.
This second game feels like being incomplete. Even though they added few more features, like voice acting, search engines in web-sites, the influencer, it really feels like this is a demo for the first one.
This second game feels like it was built on a rush. Why not taking more time to develop a better story? In the end, you already had a pretty solid base from the previous game, you just had to add a few features and then focus on the story.
Unlike the first game, where you could discover step by step a dense web of interpersonal relationships, in this one the only people you can collect data for are 4.
The choice to limit player's actions really gave another imprint to the game. I can understand the choice, because there were parts in the first game which were too much straightforward. Anyway, I would have tryed for a different approach, since this way, instead of trying to dig deep into each story, you go on a rush, leaving out pieces of history that might give a better insight into the big picture. In the first game, you were able to investigate as much as you wanted, and since it's a story driven game, it's pretty important to have clear every little thing.
But I could have still overlooked the things just listed and still recommended this game, if only they were the only negatives.
The main thing that makes you exclaim "WTF?" is the ending. You're in the middle of the plot, there could be so much to deepen, there could have been a plot twist (First game had a few good plot twist, other were predictable but satisfying anyway, this one has zero plot twists), you've only arrived to chapter 3, and you think "Ok, let's see what happens next!". But then you see the credits section.
I also had the doubt that I had done something wrong, so I went to the reviews section and discovered that in any case there are always 3 chapters in this story, it wasn't me who did something to make the game end faster...
It's still a game to be played, because you can anyway play it again and use a different approach, but it's really disappointing.
Its bad luck is also that the first Orwell game set the bar so high, because if this one had been released before the first one, it would have been a success anyway, as the first would have been seen as an improvement on this one.
