In my opinion the best Final Fantasy outhere by far.

I played it on the PS1 at the time and wanted to repeat the experience. My impression at the time was also mixed. On the bright side, the game gives you a lot of leeway, you can adapt a lot and combine wildly. Surprisingly, even rather unusual functions or commands such as "Doom" are still usable in the late game, although this may also be related to the team's build. On the other hand, it can also be very punishing, without ways to recover except remodeling said team. Don’t get me wrong, it’s still easy especially if you use all the tools at your disposal, I just wish it was a bit smoother in terms of difficulty. The mini games are also fun, especially Triple Triad. But there are also many things that make no sense without a guide or internet, and frankly make you rage. Triple Triad, as mentioned, wildly changes the rules without a clear explanation of why or how you can influence it. Well, there are YT videos, but the game should be so consistent that you can do it without it. It can't be that the game is only fun if you have to watch dozens of hours of videos beforehand. Story is ok but nothing special. It’s above average, something around 6.5 or 7 out of 10 I’d say, certainly not the star of the FF cast.

Das Final Fantasy VIII Remaster ist gut, aber nicht sehr gut oder hervorragend, da es leider ein paar Macken hat. U. a. den SEED Test Bug, weshalb man nie den SEED Rang 30 oder den höchsten Rang A erreichen kann.
