Look, I personally think this game is hilarious, and I love the characters, but it's just not worth $20, I would say $5 to 8 is resonable, based on how much content it offers. It only has about 1 hour of "unique progression", not even that because it's very repetitive 2 hours in total, for an 'Isometric RPG' with no replay value, not counting one choice in the end. To be fair, I never expected this game to be even 10% of a traditional RPG like Diablo2, but I expected maybe 5%, some basic things, a small skill tree, and maybe some number variety on the items, but you didn't even go that far. You have about 4 skills, basic stat distribution, and a loot system that has no stat variables. Sure, I enjoyed the demo back in 'Apr 1, 2019', but at the time I assumed the game would be improved to some extent, I literally can't tell the difference between the release mechanics and what you had in the demo. I mean how is it that in 3 years since I gave feedback, you didn't shuffle some weapon variables, did you take any feedback because I don't see any of it. Depending on how you want to count, there are 4 areas in the game with very little visual variety, so even with 2 hours of content, the game gets repetitive very quickly. As cheesy as the game is, I was laughing during every cutscene, the dialogue with Yen just killed me, it's like City Sushi, only more genuine. Man, you should have just made a narrative game, it's so good when I don't actually have to grind the game. And it's not like the game has a bad core for the gameplay, you just didn't add any depth, or enough content to begin with. I mean, what the hell do I say about some 90 minutes of RPG elements, with nearly zero RPG elements, there is nothing to say really.
Pros:
(+) The game was very funny, I'll give you that. Maybe it's just my personal taste, but I was laughing during every cutscene, so it's something. Should have made a narrative game, you good at it. Even when the voice acting was not great, I still enjoyed the jokes, props to everyone involved with the story. Not enough music variety, but I thought the main song was very catchy.
Feedback:
Content - where is the game? Where is the RPG? Where are the RPG elements? Finding the same gun 50 times with the same stats is not an RPG. 90 minutes of repetitive areas for $20 is not an RPG. I understand you are a small indie company, but a few years ago you said you were taking feedback, I left you feedback, and you didn't take it. I played the demo a few years ago, I don't recall any big mechanical differences. Damn guys, you had something cool with this game, but now that you released it like that, it's hard to find any positives. Overall Thoughts: 5/10 You had a good base for an interesting RPG, but you didn't do anything with it. I got maybe 5 minutes of genuine laughs out of this game, which to be fair is more than I can say about most games. But it's really all it has. Man, you guys had 1 fan, and you took advantage of your 1 fan. You can't say that you delay the game to implement more feedback, when after 3 years, I don't see what feedback you were taking. I won't attempt to refund the game, but I hope you understand where I am coming from, I am not happy when I pay $20 for whatever this was. It's worth $5, just for some decent jokes, not much more than that. Again, props to everyone playing the characters, I enjoyed the cheesy story.
