I highly enjoyed this game for the most part! It has immaculate art and music that greatly contribute to the creepy atmosphere. I quite liked the point&click investigation/exploration sections and often found myself immersed in the setting. The spirit confrontations are a bit tricky but the fight mechanisms are pretty creative and I like the spirit designs. I also love how the story progressively got deeper, more twisted and mysterious, the plot is very interesting in my opinion. The individual chapters mainly follow the same scheme but I still enjoyed their diversity and was invested all the time. It was intriguing to find out about each spirit's background! Additionally the characters are pretty likable and funny and I want to know more about everyone. Especially the protagonist is amazing. I suppose one thing that partially disappointed me is some of the writing, I don't have any issues with the plot itself but since the visual novel sections are significantly shorter compared to the other gameplay, it feels like the writing is a bit rushed and superficial/not fully going into detail as much as it could. I just really like the story and would've loved the visual novel parts to be longer and more thorough, especially when covering the lore and providing information about the characters. Altogether I found the experience to be very fun and thrilling, therefore I'll definitely check out the sequels!
