It's an arcade game with rpg options. Character designs are good, story is interesting and above all... its fun to play.

not worth ten dollars imo, buy it on a sale. other than that though, this is a very fun game! would recommend!! thank you uhyeah for showing me this piece of modern art

I grew up playing Space Invaders at the local arcade and at any given chance jumped to the occasion to show my skills on this classic game. When I heard that the team behind the brick breaker remake was doing this I was excited. The graphics of the game are simply GORGEOUS. The levels are smooth and the learning curve is challenging enough to keep you engaged for hours on end. I love the pop culture references with the hero personas and how their superpowers reflect their characters. This is a MUST addition to the gaming library of all who love classics and innovative remakes. Not to miss.

The moment I heard about the steam release date announcement, I felt really excited. And I can say it was really worth the wait. Graphics are much much better than the first one;“Doughlings Arcade” and gameplay also has really been improved. I always seek out my early childhood games and play them all over again, and playing this one really got me there. Love the gameplay, thank you guys for making me feel young again :))

It'a great game for retro lovers. A perfect tribute to space invaders sauced with mithology. Absolutely recommended.

Tl;dr: must buy for arcade game lovers. Doughlings Invasion is a Space Invaders clone with tons of novel ideas stuffed in. The basic idea is the same, you shoot aliens incoming in stacks, one bullet at a time. But there are two main extras: First, bosses. Bosses were a thing since Super Space Invaders 1991 but in all Invaders clones featuring bosses they present completely separate reflex challgenges. In Doughlings, the challenges the bosses present are more tactical, as opposed to reflex based; and they force you to exploit the game mechanics, instead of expect you to snipe a vulnerable spot on the boss (but yes that exists too). Second, the altered forms called personas. The power ups in the game turn your player character into super heroes; but these don't only buff your bullets, each of them also give you a separate ultimate power that you have to use cleverly if you expect to progress. Doughlings: Invasion is a great, challenging game with really awesome music and pretty graphics. In the normal difficulty level, it won't make you eat your nails, perhaps, but you will die a lot and restart a lot of the levels before you figure out what to do with your new toys. I can safely say you won't get bored until you get more than your money's worth.
