I get why people like this game. If you are a diehard terminator fan then this game is for you. If you are slightly interested in the game because you want to get high and shoot up some robots, then this game is not for you. The movement is clunky, the game is really linear with a weak facade that you can explore, moments in combat and stealth are just so straight forward that it does not feel rewarding. Buy on discount if you're curious. To be fair, it's obvious the devs have a passion for terminator though.

Solid FPS. Would recommend.

Good side characters, even better VO, and solid graphics makes this a fun game to marathon. The game relies heavily on the Terminator theme song on multiple occasions whenever it needs to hit the feels... and I ain't mad at it. There are branching paths that differ based on choices you make, so doing the side quests feel worth it.
I romanced the sis, not the commander. Worth.
While I enjoyed this for what I got, there are a lot of flaws in it that I can't recommend it to anyone unless they really like the Terminator series. The game starts out interesting with neat yet overdone mechanics that become annoying by the end of the game and with the enemies feeling like bullet sponges until you get the final tier of weapons. The inventory management was trivial and felt unnecessary to add to the game, same with the crafting mechanics that I barely used as there was an abundance of materials and ammo to use without crafting. Keep in mind I was playing on the Hard difficulty but the mechanics of the game didn't feel like they meshed with each other with simple, yet tedious combat and a plain story.

Not bad at all. These guys have came a long way since that disaster of Rambo the video game. This and Robo Cop Rogue City is a MASSIVE step in the right direction and I cant wait to see more. The game has a good story, good action, and a nice fallout type upgrade system and menu and is definitely a must play for terminator fans.I do wish it had more weapons and explored a little more on the stealth mechanic and that would be my biggest takeaway from it. 8/10

Without doubt the best Terminator gaming experience. Yeah this isn't a AAAA+ game, it's just not, but the quality of the story, the immersion, soundtrack and 'weight of the world' bring you in to the game in a really convincing and immersive way. 11/10 from me :)

Terminator Resistance is a great terminator game. It incorporated the first two movies into the plot and kind of expanded on what leads up to the moment Kyle Reese goes back in time to save Sarah Connor while preserving what was established in the movies. Really great story telling and kept me on edge the whole play-through. Terminators were legitimately scary throughout the whole game despite learning some cheap tactics to deal with them. You just never knew when you were going to run into one and they were creative at times when some of them wouldn't follow me but decided to go around and flank me while some pushed directly into me. I had to use a great deal of misdirection and strategic retreating to counter this activity. I also played the DLC where you're in squad with Kyle Reese and it was just as good. Incredibly satisfied with the results. Couldn't put it down till I had experienced all the content. Left me wanting to experience more.

Nostalgiabait. Nice and enjoyable, if you are hooked by it. Too short to feel repetitive, considering the change of pace in some of the missions. More than worth it during sale. I'll probably come back to play the dlcs in a couple of months. Just don't put points into toughness, it makes last missions boring.

Terminator: Resistance is the solid tribute to the original Cameron's storyline, and that concept of the humanity's dark hours that was written in the '80s. By now, it's a full retro, the world had spinned too many time circles forward, and thus, many things that determine that universe and its lore, went from pure fantastic, to the grade of the very unlikely fantastic. While some aspects, on the opposite, are now here with us, on the our side of the screen, whether we like it or not. This game was made by the original (in terms of the first and second movie lore) Terminator concept fans, and aimed directly into the other fans. With that said, we should value it by two different scales. If you're a fan, who will recognize all the references, and enjoy them with the emotional spectre from 'huh, ok' to 'wow, that was cool!' - game's really worth 9/10 mark, with only the minor tech issues. I've experienced one sudden game shutdown in between two missions, for example, so I needed to reload... once thorought the whole game, and I can't say I lost any progress with that, aside from one briefing. So what? It's still one of the best games by the whole franchise, maybe one of the 3 or 5 best in all times, you certainly need to try it! On the other hand, without that nostalgic fleur, the game looks quite plain. Like, for a 6.5/10 mark. A shooter, with a bit of exploring and character progress management, bit still quite linear and bland. It was made with the limited budget, see... So, the major part of the game developer's labour was channeled to make this game fit - for the fans. Sound design - legit, and even more than that, ostentatious in its tri-booting role... Visuals - surely dark, and demotivating, if we put it on scales with the AAA titles based somewhere in the bright and shiny jungles... But just as so the humanity's future, in the world where AI started the nuclear war just to feel safer for own major distributive, supposedly set on the swap line, for the new shiny thing to spend the taxes on, getting the kickbacks in the process... Short line, visuals fit as well. The gameplay? Shows the protagonist growth over the struggle, all the basic checks for the story and logic complexity are ok-ish again. And how can you say 'No' to the chance to shoot with the canonical pistol, with the huge 1st-gen laser pointer mounted on top of the bolt carrier? Not to mention all those plasma guns, discharging with the non-less canonical sound? Different types of hunter-killers, and the ways to destroy them, including even stealth kills? Sounds nasty, but you should try it, it's not against the lore rules! In the end, looking at the reviews, I don't feel I need to explain more. Game's just ok, if you're not a fan - get it or leave it be. Game's a must, for people who can tune in that vibe of 'neverending battle between tincans and meatbags'. Decide your fate, folks. Hasta la vista!
