Infiltrator mode is pretty fun! I wish there was more to it! More complex mechanics, smarter enemies, more weapons, more everything! The story is so-so. But the infiltrator mode! That's where the fun's at!

This is a severely underrated game - you really feel like you're part of the terminator universe and you can sense the dangers of the machines everywhere. This game reminds me of Metro games but with robots - the environments, the feel is similar. It's tough as well even on normal difficulty - resources are scarce, the world feels barren thanks to the machines.
Graphics are just OK for most parts especially on character models - the machines do look pretty decent, and I can turn up the graphical settings to max + FSR ultra quality on my Rog Ally - plays really well on 17W.
A bit repetitive towards the end, but does keep you on the edge as the game does favor stealth + quick thinking, firing into barrels of explosives to destroy the machines easier(-ish).
I dont think i'll get the DLC as I dont recall it gives anything new - just more of the same, with an extension of the storyline but the overall storyline is pretty good actually, but do get this at a discount - it's somewhat worth it with the discount.
I bought this at the same time as "days gone" at the same price (discounted), but if I were to compare - days gone is a much much much better game, but this one just plays different and gives me a different feel. Not one where I would actually play again unfortunately, but the game does stay true to it's terminator roots and you will love it if you really love the terminator films.

Really good game set in the Terminator saga. It captures how terrifying T-800 truly are. It has some rpg elements which is good to find your own way of dealing with the enemies, nevertheless, sneaking is your best bet at surviving.

I tried, but could not finish the game. I got bored out of my mind. Playing it feels like eating plastic. It's too stock.

Probably the best Terminator game we'll ever get but also one of the hardest games I've ever played. I started playing on hard but once the Terminators started showing up I had to dial it back to easy and I was still constantly on the verge of death. You would think maybe the idea is to avoid conflict but you need to be on the offensive to get the XP to level up so that's not really an option. The Terminators have near perfect aim and drain your health really fast.
Besides that though... The story is good and fits in with the t1 and t2 timeline. There are some weird plot points that come up then never pay off. One weird one is the thought that someone at the base is an infiltrator but then it just stops coming up. Also at the very end of the game they connect this one timeline with the timeline of both t1 and t2, which I don't think is possible and doesn't make a lot of logical sense.
The voice acting is more than passable for most characters. The main character shares a voice actor with over other character. The other character is pretty believable but the main character sounds like he was given no context to any of his line reads
Overall I'd say it's a must play for fans of the franchise.

Very good game. Captures well the atmosphere of that future supposed era. Graphics are okish but not supergood. Music is amazing. Gameplay is fun but initially it may feel a bit on the too hard side. But it gets better and better. Overall it's a thumbs up.

I will never understand where is the fun in looting unnecesary crap in every corner to craft items, i dont know if im not autist enough or im senile already... anyway, it starts acceptable but as we reach the last big part of the game, it becomes phenomenal, great last mission and fantastic ending, have fun.

A piece of art. Developers if you read this - you did an AMAZING JOB!!! The game has great sound design, the atmosphere is spot on, story and gameplay have RPG elements and overall you just keep playing without ever being bored. Oh and there is no woke propaganda, which is a nice touch. I can not believe I did not give this game a chance sooner.
🧐 My Opinion 🧐
After a slow start, the game is pretty solid all along.
It's obviously not a high-budget game, but it still looks very decent, original enough, and with enjoyable gameplay, even if it's not without flaws.
The main issue for me was the lack of dynamism in the fights and the overall low difficulty despite playing on the 3rd out of 4 difficulty levels. There are a few tense moments, though, and mistakes are harshly punished, so it was still ok for me.
I was surprised to find some semi-open world levels, which felt quite big at 1st and provided a nice exploration with a sensation of freedom. There are also more classic indoor levels.
The crafting was nearly useless, except a couple of times in the 1st levels: overall, there are plenty of resources everywhere. On the 4th difficulty, it might be more useful.
The story and storytelling worked well; nothing exceptional, but it pleasantly drew me into the Terminator world. Also, it was the first time as an adult that I actually enjoyed a sex scene: I was emotionally invested in the characters (please, don't tell my wife 😇). It was well made, bit by bit over the course of the game, and the women look gorgeous... as long as they don't speak.
No, no, no, I'm not a misogynist, it's just that the facial animations are pretty rudimentary and mechanical, so they look their best when they're quiet. 😅
So all in all, if you're a Terminator fan, it's a big recommendation, just don't expect to see millions of dollars on the screen, and if you're just an FPS fan, give it a try, it might grow on you after a few hours. 🙂
It took me about 17 hours to complete the main campaign and about 1 hour to do 1 run of the Infiltrator Mode (taking my time).
💖 Pros 💖
- The Terminator world atmosphere, once Skynet took over
- Decent FPS gameplay
- A couple of big semi-open-world levels with interesting exploration
- Some memorable moments and locations
- The free Infiltrator Mode DLC offers a decent (and short) experience as a Terminator
- Endearing (women) characters
- The chill in my spine every time a T800 walked toward me
💀 Cons 💀
- It takes a few hours for the story to take off
- Mostly a bit too easy
- Facial animations are outdated
- No Arnold in the base game
