The Road Trip is the best game where you can be run over by a fat man on a scooter...

This game is a humongous, ferociously, unfortunate disaster. The idea behind it is good, the price is not too bad but the execution is poor. Gameplay = 4 Graphics = 3 Story = 5 Value for money = 2

Before I start this review I will be going through four different aspects of the game. Its gameplay, audio, visuals and its bugs. This is because I feel like there is enough to talk about with this masterpiece of a game. Firstly I will begin with the gameplay. The story (like on the steam store) talks about you being an obese canadian man who has a dream in life, the idea of getting a juicy Mr Ribs in his mouth above his octuple chin jaw. You will go on your journey with your obese uncle and from there you follow your dreams. Along the way (No spoilers) you will meet deadly hitchhikers disguised as not so nice people, and try to backstab you as you go. In the game you will drive and do telltale esc cutscenes and fight bosses. It revolutionizes the video game industry and is quite unique. What I find quite weird though is the start and end of chapters where you wake up on the toilet or sleeping with a man in bed or a restroom. Its weird but *very* quirky. I think the joke doesn't get old after 6 times and was funny the whole way through. The audio is admittedly a bit loud, and along with that I don't think there is any way of turning it down so you'll have to use your desktop's audio to adjust it. I personally enjoyed the ten second loop of electro when driving but it was a bit offputting since you are a hitchhiker. It would of been better to have country music, the objectively best music on the market. The crashing into the rails was the perfect type of loud and the typical youtuber music for tense moments and the free audio for chainsaws was nice too. I think it would be good to allow these sound to be on an alarm clock so we will always wake up from it, due to the amazing bitrate and it will pump us up. And the fact that your ears will bleed if you don't. The visual side of the game is quite nice, as the humans are (this is unironic) actually ugly enough to be funny. I did enjoy the same tree from what I presume is the asset store copy and pasted throughout the whole game yet the cornfield was a nice change of atmosphere. The burgers half eaten, the blood splatter (This should be at least teen rated from the blood) and the roads texture were very nice and was enjoyable to look at if you are blind. The game has little to no bugs, the only ones being that you can glitch out of the map if your car falls down once causing you to restart, the dialogue when I died to a woman was out of place for when I died, the car repeatedly falling over for no reason, lighting bugs and weird finger and face physics. Anyways apart from that there actually wasn't many to be honest. All in all, this game is probably the best game I have bought in over two months. It's also the last game I've bought in two months. Thats pretty good though. Anyways it is in my opinion the best game ever, and beats every game on the market. It is the dark souls of driving sims. A flat wheel out of ten. (In all seriousness, if the dev is reading this im not trying to be mean or anything, I hope you make more its just that the serial killer thing all the time gets old and dark is not fun. The gameplay would need to be refined heavily and don't take things off the asset store. I honestly did enjoy the game quite a bit until I got to the cornfield where I really started to lose interest. For a funny game though I did enjoy it, and at least your game didn't fake dialogue like Telltale. Proper rating is 4/10. GG)

This game looked great; the concept was funny, the models looked hilarious, and the gameplay seemed entertaining. My personal experience with this game has been vastly different. The game is very slow, and even though there are funny characters to encounter, and a mildly amusing story to follow, I found myself bored after a few minutes of gameplay. I was under the impression that this was a very open game, with multiple choices altering your experience, but the only feeling of freedom I was left with was guessing which lines to choose and hope I wouldn't get murdered. The characters are highly unpredictable, and you rarely know what to say to avoid a conflict - and when you say the wrong lines and get murdered, you have to start the chapter all over again, slowly leading you through the exact same series of events two or three more times before you figure out which lines to say to survive. But the price is reasonable - if you like telltale-games and so, this may be your cup of tea.

Unhealthy BMI of 60, on a more serious s note the game actually crashes half the time if you try and do any boss fights. The "so bad it's good" generally works well with this game but the final mission is retarded. If you get stuck anywhere on the Minecraft 2 terrain you can't get out of the car to push so you either restart the craptastic game or wait out the timer. None of the endings are very good either you don't even get to eat the Mr. Rib. After owning this game for several years and replaying it at least five times, I give it 2/5 erect boners.

Like watching a train wreck that was full of everything wrong with the world. From this day forth, I'm going to make more positive changes in my life. This game made me uncomfortable with my own body. Would recoment.

While the graphics were sub-par, the engrossing plot and powerful characters made up for it. The character development throughout make this an amazing experience for the whole family. The emotional moments are expertly done, and feel more polished than some triple-AAA games on the market. I cannot recommend this enough. 9.5/10

The problem with this game isn't the incredible amount of bugs and basic missing features (there is no load or save, there is no controller binding config, your car will get stuck, you will have to quit and restart the game multiple times to finish it because there is no load/save). Nope, the problem with this game is that, for a game that is entirely about the interesting art style and humorous story, you're just rushed through both without really getting to enjoy them. The interactions only last for a few seconds each. The rest of the time you're just staring at the road trying not to get your car stuck, because there's no save or load so if you flip it you'll have to restart the entire chapter over. It's also extremely repetitive. The same story plays out in almost all of the chapters, even entire scenes are re-used for core plot points. Basically you just need to answer a bunch of questions in order to not get killed while trying to keep your eyes on the dark road as you drive at night. This is basically the entire game. Out of 5 Graphics: 2 Art Style: 3 Concept: 3 Execution: 1 This should be priced at under $1. Sidenote: the developer claims to have a trademark on "Red Sky Studios", which is odd because not only have they not actually trademarked the name, it's actually already trademarked by another Red Sky Studios (a very different company).
