Seems to be a game made as an example of what the creator could do in order to get hired on to a larger company. Not too bad, really short. I recommend a controller.

Right now this "game" is a disappointment.
One playthrough is only 0,5 to 1 hour depending on how often you die. There are only two different maps. Look on the screenshots and the promotion video and you have seen everything the game has to offer. Combat was not fluid, so the whole thing feels like a clunky tech demo.
Last boss was the only interesting fight, except for one unfair attack which you could only evade with luck. One hit ends in a stunlock till death. Without that attack i would have beaten the game even faster, since my luck is always bad...or there is an easy way i haven´t figured out yet.
However, if this game gets more fluid combat, more fluid animations, unlockables, some kind of upgrade system and more maps so it has more content/ replay value, then this game could be better and enjoyable.
As I said, right now it is not more than a unfinished tech demo which wasted its potential.
I can't recommend this.

Here's the Plot: So this girl gets bored and drops some mad ass shrooms. And instead of having one of them awesome trips, like you would in Amsterdam where you'd realize every now and then that you're either in McDonald's or the red light district.. nah man. This was a super bad trip.
And I mean she trips the F out. One of those trips where you think the fly on your wall can hear your thoughts you think rocks are actually soft inside. I would say even worse than that because this girl picks up an imaginary sword and starts fighting everything.
Regardless, good game. The controls are weird because she's tripping ballz

Very nice short game. Nice dynamics, nice characters, nice story, nice price. As I said, it's a very short game.
*Supposedly* it's an adult game, but it only has two very mediocre hentai scenes & the core of the game is the gameplay.

This game has TONS of potential.
It's fun to play, good model designs, rough on the edges on a few sounds effects, controller support and enemy cheapness but it's biggest flaw is that it's too short! 20mins or an hour tops an average player can finish this or even shorter. The mini boss golem is great to fight, the BOSS in the game is very good with attacks ranging from melee and various long range ones. I recommend it on a SALE PRICE and a for those itching for a simple hack and slash game.

Girl x mushrooms is a great little game for the price. The combat is really fun and I really liked the inclusion of traps and was so happy when I realised you could push enemies into them.
There isn't a great variety of enemies and I found the environment a little dull but the bosses and overall combat were great.
For the price I recommend you pick this up if you're into hack and slash games. It's good fun, oh and there's the whole boob jiggle thing if you're into that....

This weird magnificent gem was $4 for 60 minutes, give or take, of game.
I can't explain why it entertained me so much, but by God, it did. It really did.

i got baited again by the sexual content tag, theres nothing here, just a 30 minute mushroom beating simulator, and no that's not an analogy for anything
Welcome to the Robot Maid Review of Girl X Mushrooms
This game is short, and this game is bad. But I'll elaborate on everything.
One praise I'll give is that this game does promote aggressive gameplay as you have a small pool of HP, but you regain HP as you deal damage to your enemies.
Story is non-existent. If you're looking for a story, leave this game.
The combat is fairly simplistic, which is fine, but the difficulty is a wee bit artificial as hit stun lasts a bit too long and easily gets you killed because there are many situations in the game where you're just hit-stunned until death. The final boss has a particularly egregious example of this. Hitboxes are also a bit deceptive, with your sword sometimes clearly passing through an enemy but failing to register a hit.
The first major issue is the control. Not only can you not remap controls for gamepad (or change sensitivity / invert look without third party programs), the controls are so clunky and stiff that it actively takes control away from you. When you attack, you have to commit to the direction you are attacking in, even when you continue your combo. This can be an issue when you're dealing with several enemies that can 2-3 shot you. On top of that, the game has a hidden lock on system which will lock on to the first enemy you hit and will not lock off until that enemy is dead. So if you decide to switch targets or simply disengage to get a bearing, the camera will constantly try to focus on a seemingly random enemy, ripping control from you.
None of the enemies are particularly interesting either, even the final boss can pretty much be stunlocked for 90% of the fight.
Graphically, this game isn't really bad, but not terribly interesting either. The main heroine is also a slightly customized model rip of Evie / Evy from Vindictus / Mabinogi: Heroes/
Even for a 4 USD game, this game is pretty pointless. It has a small glimmer of potential, but it's pretty much buried under a fairly bad game.
