Second time trying this game. It is punishing and not fun at all. Literally my second mission slaughtered me without a single chance at victory because of the lack of squad controls and equipment. I tried this game years ago and wanted to like it, but didn't. Tried it again and see why I hate it. This is just poor game design

It's a good game in style but very confusing to understad, it's honestly a mess. I hope they go full Helldivers 2

One of the most underrated isometric strategy based co-op PvE extraction shooters I've ever played. Even has a quite satisfying single player campaign mode with a world map progression model that gives off some mild XCOM vibes.
Plenty of class loadouts/builds to roll with and a lot of action packed engagements mostly involving trying to get in and out of mission areas without being overwhelmed by a horde of enemies.
It's also a game that rewards tactical and strategic usage of ammo and consumables (i.e. save your explosives for the big guys). After all, it can be pretty demoralizing to appear to be facerolling the mission and then when it's time to GTFO realize you don't have enough ammo and/or explosives left to safely make it to extraction.
Then there's also the risk vs. reward dynamic when it comes to how many side objectives you choose to complete to boost experience and rewards for the mission. You certainly don't want to bite off more than you can chew in this regard.
If you've ever been curious what it might be like to play something like Vermintide/Dark Tide from an isometric strategy view instead of 1st/3rd person, give this game a try for sure.

Massive "L O L" at whoever assigned the "Third Person" tag to this game...
Very fun, Money well spent.
not that beginner friendly tho, so for newbies i suggest joining online lobbies and just learning from who you play with.
you are fated to die in this game, even if you are an aetriden(high lvl) player and it is simply a matter of when.
what matters the most is you learn from your deaths.
