This is the reason why I sort my library by Release Date - I get to see what little gems have just left Early Access! Reminds me of playing Mat Mania in the arcades as a boy. Good luck with the 1.0 release. Double Turn gets a double-thumbs up from me!

I think the idea of this simple pixel-brawler is great. The design and the controls are definitely top. Unfortunately there are still no further updates after almost 2 years. There are only 4 different characters to play and there is currently only one level. Simple is always good, but if it is simple then more content should be added (and should be simple), which shows the variety of this genre. More levels, more characters. Maybe even objects that break or objects you can throw. I write a rather positive Review because the concept itself is very nice and maybe it motivates the developer to continue.

Can't even play the game. There's a huge lag when using controllers from when you press the key, to when the game takes the action, if it even takes an action at all. No dev activity on the community, no support. I'll be asking for a refund =/

I became #18 in ranked play (very first game) and all I did was get someone in a corner and keep pressing up while I punch.

Really good first impression! I love the art style and the game is very easy to pick up and play. Well worth the five bucks

This game is all style and absolutely no substance, the menus and animations look extremely good, the ost (one track) is solid, and the idea for the game is absolutely fantastic. However this game lacks many basic things that other platform fighters have leading to bad feeling movement, next to 0 combo potential, and a grab loop so easy that I figured it out in the 20 minutes I played. If you are interested in this game, I recommend waiting for a HEAVY discount. I would love if this game got a overhall/sequel though, this has a fuck ton of potential

You can be knocked out of your own combo, characters lack much difference between each other, and AI is easily exploited. It's not a very fun game. The potential is there and its core loop is interesting but there is too little here for it to be recommended as is.
Game seems cool, but devs are absent and haven't pushed any update in a while now.
My advice, see if there have been any updates before buying. ------ Original review: + Very cool character design and pixelart + Nice controls/Moves - Very little content (4 playable characters, one stage) -- Controllers not working on Linux. -- Partial controller support. I appreciate this being available on Linux. Wouldn't advice to buy at it's current state, wait for more updates/content.
Nice idea and design, poor realization
The game can't be considered as a finished project even if one overlooks the lack of content, because some fundamental features don't work: [olist]
AI in Practice mode doesn't work: an NPC just stands still and meekly gets player's hits. If it's supposed to be so, then the developer should have added several options to adjust the NPC behavior like make it always blocking or jumping or performing a sequence of movements.
A player's profile disappears after closing the game, that leads to disappearing of a gamepad custom configuration also. Moreover, the game doesn't allow me to create a profile with the same name again although I don't see it and can't choose it.
Uselessness of Grabs: you can just spam a Strike button, because Strikes break Grabs, then you dash or run away and spam the button again. Such the algorithm let me win the Battle Royal mode at the first attempt and apparently works well against other players. You'll never be in a situation where an enemy stuns you and then make a throw, because there is a cooldown after his hits which is longer than your stun, so it makes Grabs worthless (if the enemy uses environment that stuns you for a longer period, you will be already on the ground, so he won't be able to grab). To fix the issue the developer could change the rules: let a Grab button break other's Grabs. Then a player needs a good reaction to counter them and won't spam strikes. [/olist] For me it's also confusing that:

There is no character customization, although NPCs appear with various color palettes.
There are no regimes with ladders and tables in Singleplayer mode, although they are presented in the local multiplayer.
Double Turn has a potential and could become a good fighting, if there would be more characters, more special movements, and direct interaction with the environment like throwing chairs or stretching the ropes of the ring (it's wrestling, after all), but it's doubtful that the developer will realize the potential, because the game was long enough in Early Access without significant improvements.
