This game is a slav-dream. For the Motherland you will sniff out corruption and smuggler's and solve crimes all to keep your comrades safe and sleeping well with many bottles of wodka. Didn't expect much, but it's a who-done it with a checklist that gets harder as you progress. The gunplay could use work, but I think the devs are working on it as well as a new DLC introducing guard-dogs and finally female options as well as a bunch of more things and harder levels. Worth full price. Love these devs! Natasha will be searching you now. *puts on medical gloves* SUKAAAAAAA

Interesting concept that suffers from QOL and poor execution. Simple things like a poorly designed world map with limited places scattered way too far apart. Inventory management gets a big shout out aslooting enemies, selling contraband, and inventory management are so tedious where every item has to be individually moved from A to B that you dont even feel like looting. Another gripe is when people approach you for inspection, they dont automatically hand their documents over; its a major irritation having to start a dialogue for something anyone would know to present in RL without prompting. Bugs are also common enough, like having your slow moving vehicle getting stuck during a mission and having to walk 5 minutes to reach a destination. There are no markers or clear inidicators where to go during missions, outside of a map for when youre in your vehicle, adding to this irritation. One mission I had to find a specific guy at a lumber mill; its just big(and dark) enough that I have to look up online where this person is. Combat is nostalgically bad. Its a trip back to early 2000s to say the least, where enemies will just stand in front of you shooting most of the time. Once the novelty of the job wears off, the few interesting points are base upgrades and different screening options. However, where this could be fun it quickly bores as NPCs have no unique encounter or engagement. If you still want to play after all this, Id skip the campaign option at least. There is nothing in the story worth your attention.

I completed the game one and a half times before I found out you can fast travel. 15/10, potato optimization when it comes to graphics

Overall, it's a great game. While it may have some flaws - it's not the most graphically impressive game, and it still has some bugs, but it is incredibly entertaining for hours. You really immerse yourself in the character and get a genuine feel of the 80s communist era, with tough NPC stories, cars, the environment, and bribery. It's a fantastic game for anyone looking to understand the reality of soviet times.

I don't usually play job simulators but this is also a first person shooter with a dark sense of humor and duty. I don't usually write video game reviews, but for this I am making an exception. I highly recommend this game and I cannot wait for the future dlcs. The creators at Crazy Rocks Studios and PlayWay truly have made a solid game that is a work of art. Two thumbs way up!

A hard recommend, if you like Papers Please, you'll find something to enjoy here. But do be aware there's many more mechanics to interact with than just paper checking. It tries a lot of things, but most feel like they needed more time in the oven. Like there's driving, but the car movement feels stiff. There's gunplay, but you'd have to actively try to die. There's upgrades but everything is so linear it's pretty much on rails. 100% was tedious, but not unreasonable. You do have to play the campaign at least 3 times, and there's a few missable luck based achievements in inspector mode.

Score: B+, 7.5, something like that. Disregard play time, I play my games offline. Despite this game objectively being only a 7.5, I enjoyed the campaign quite a bit. There is an additional mode, I gave up after less than an hour because it wasn't different enough. This game probably appeals to my attention to detail and love of repetitive tasks, but enough is enough. There's simply not a lot of variety after unlocking everything in the inspections, there's not enough in terms of weaponry, cargo and tools, the missions are all roughly the same, the AI is idiotic, the story is virtually non existent, the game is poorly optimized, there are loads of glitches, and there are several activities that are tedious. It was still enjoyable. There's not much like this. I liked playing in a fake Soviet nation, choosing whether to support the crap government or even crappier rebels, exercising authority over people who can't fill out paperwork, and so on. It was nice to learn every model of car, it was fun building up the skill to do inspections asap, and so on. I just wish it were more polished. For how obviously low budget and janky this game is, it should not cost $20. But I'm not taking the price into consideration of the score, just saying. It's very obvious to see what this game is via reviews and Youtube, and if it feels like it "clicks" with you then I'm sure it will. I won't play it again in its current state, and I highly doubt I'll buy the DLC, but I still enjoyed it a lot. Despite the myriad of flaws; the game is still fun, unique, hilarious, and unforgettable. B+
