Not a huge fan of remasters but the game itself is a good game.

Pretty good follow up to the original Sniper Elite. This remaster however is simply a texture pack, it is genuinely hard to see the difference between this game compared to the original V2. Also the controls were a bit clunky and this remaster didn't address that. Overall a 7/10.

Sniper Elite V2 is definitely where you would want to start the series. 1st game is quite janky and feels like a tech demo compared to the second game.
Gameplay is fun and gives you the option to go stealth though its quite difficult and not as fun as going guns blazing.
Its a short game and the story is pretty redundant but gameplay makes up for all its shortcomings.

A classic that improves over the first game, a bit janky and the later games play better but I'd say it's still worth checking out.

One thing we need to make clear is that this game did not age very well. Certainly if it is your first SE game I recommend it but with it being only a remaster, there is no reason to play it if you have the QoL and much more refined controls of the sequels. All of the following titles allow for varied playstyles while this one is a quite obligate stealth game that still forces you into linear shootouts in full combat when doing to is very poorly supported. A good game at it's core, but vastly outclassed by it's sequels while not having enough improvements to justify a remaster, I don't think.
