Very much oldschool still Not as much stealth as sniper 3 and up Multiplayer still active but not very populated 9/10 beans

A scripted progression through each level with plenty of alternative ways through the scenery. Enjoyable.

Great remaster with good atmosphere. The missions are more linear and a lot shorter than in newer Sniper Elite games but thats to be expected. Coop is cool but I was disappointed when we realised that we cant play DLC missions together and DLC missions are the most fun ones... Overall a solid 8/10 game but not worth the full price anymore and you should buy it on sale imo.

I got into the series with SE 4. I played it with a friend. These games are great with a friend but they work perfectly in singleplayer. I gotta say that after trying the first game in the series which felt completely awkward and very dated, this remaster feels almost like the newer editions. It shows how powerful the formula is. Although I don't buy the gritty protagonist trying to be all cool and serious I very much enjoy how well crafted are all the stages. You can tell that person responsible for creating these maps have poured blood and sweat into them and not in vain. I appreciated every little detail and complexity of the routes I could take. If you like sneaking around and sniping to your hearts content this is easily where you should start.

A fun game but you can feel it's age and lack of polish compared to 4 and 5 when it comes to Enemie AI and gunplay Still fun tho

Constant close quarters sections... in a sniping game. The pistol and smg are insanely inaccurate and hard to aim with, but basically necessary to use during close quarters combat. Controls are very clunky and you constantly get caught on invisible geometry. Enemies can see you through walls, will shoot at you from impossible angles, and can detect you even when you're sneaking and they have no line of sight. The game is also way too short, though that might be a good thing since towards the end I just wanted it to be over. New Sniper Elite games fix all these issues, play those instead.

A really good remaster. Runs buttery smooth, holds up graphically even in 2025. However animations are showing it's age and shooting feel with weapons other than Sniper Rifles is off. Insanely inaccurate. Level desing is more towards close combat encounters, making sniper rifle rather useless in a "sniper" elite game. Also the game is extremely short. This remaster is a thumbs down for full price, thumbs up for sale.
