The greatest game ever made. If you like programming puzzle games, this is it.

I read the whole magazine, beat 11 levels in about 30-45 minutes each and then spend all that time beating the card game 100 times for an achievement....
That took a while lmao, I'll update this review once I 100% the game since I haven't played any new levels since.

As a fan of the programming puzzle genre, I was excited to dive into the game. The aesthetic, the concept, and the idea of hacking with a pseudo-assembly language seemed right up my alley.
However, with the bugs, my experience was frustrating from the start. It completely blocked my progress. The game asked me to input some text from the receipt, but I cannot type anything there. No matter what I tried, I couldn't get past this step, which meant I was stuck before even getting to the actual gameplay.
It's disappointing because I really wanted to enjoy this game, but technical issues like this make it hard to recommend. If a game relies on an input system, it should at least work correctly. Hopefully, the developers address this problem and I’d love to give it another shot.

I love everything about this game. It's classic ZachTronics (i.e. great), a little more computer-y than other ones I've seen. The puzzles start you off easy and scale well, imo, and the story is very interesting. It's really fun to discover tricks and find the best solutions for your play style. I especially recommend printing off the Zines, even if you have to go to the library or find another way to get them- it's just a really nice experience to flip through them when you need to reference a command.
I also really like the Redshift virtual console. Programming it is very fun- I made a little slime rancher which I'm very proud of. I only wish there were a better way to share and find games for it.
