It's a fantastic game for a bit of quick or drawn out couch coop. The one downside I found were the controls the devs have aimed for realism of the ship sails. However this slightly ruined the family fun as I had to spend 30 minutes explaining to my 5 year old daughter why her ship kept crashing into walls and how ships worked because she is used to pressing a direction or holding button to go and releasing it to stop.

This game has become legend in my friend group.
If you're looking for a great party game this will not let you down. I've been collecting 4 player splitscreen games to play with friends for over a year, and this is the one that comes out at least once every time we get together.
The controls are simple, but the strategy involved with four players makes it incredibly rewarding (especially when you come out on top when taking on multiple opponents simultaneously).
The game lacks some polish, but what it lacks in polish it makes up for in gameplay which is terrific.
Note: I recommend this for 3-4 players. Those wanting to play 2 players will miss out on a lot of the depth of strategy that more players offer.

This is a great game that deserves more attention. Had many hours of fun with this (on a different account). Would have happily paid £8-£10 for this game.

So far love the gameplay, graphics, and controls of the game. I just want to ask the devs if they plan on expanding the game via updates or DLC or if this game is the complete version and won't be changed at all?

The trailer didnt seem like much to me but it draw my attention anyways so i thought i'd try it. Best game i've played with friends for a while. They really liked it and they are quite picky. Dev looks like a cool guy too. There's going to be more free content as he claimed.
TL;DR: A must buy for local mulitplayer in my opinion.

A good bit of 4 player fun. Controls are challanging at first but represent the style of sailing broadside navel combat well. Far better than any other low complexity sailing game.
Ship balance is good but not great, ghost ship has a massive advantage when use well.
400% worth the price tag if you are the kind of person that runs 4 player local play.

I highly recommend it. Its one of the best couch party games, which its not based on reflexes but more on skills and strategy.
You choose between five different boats with different attributes and fight in different environments. Specific boats has advantage in specific environment ...this is maybe only minus of it - first you choose boats and if then choosing random environment some players has too big advantages. Solution would be, that environment would be changing after one round of battles (for 5, 10 or 20 points).
Again, I highly recommend it, its one of best couch games to play with friends.

We played this for the first time at the most recent local gaming event. I had hoped it would be fun for everyone, but the bulk of the players just felt the controls were needlessly complicated and that the boats were drastically unbalanced.
I liked it. But it looks like I won't be playing it often. :(
I still recommend it for people wanting to try something different in a single screen local PvP game, but you should know that it has a bit of a learning curve, even just in getting the boat to move (you need to raise/lower sails, btw).
Controller + Steam Link supported.
