Game looks good on paper. Too bad it is too wonky and janky for me to enjoy it. The game refuses to play by it's own rules:
- Enemies canceling animations
- Enemy projectiles going through walls
- The areas look the same, it is very easy to get lost
- The pacing is way off, the 3rd boss WILL 2 tap you while you tickle them which would be fine if you had MORE THAN 2 ESTUS
The game could be good if these things would be ironed out and the pacing in damage could do some work. However, as it stands do not buy this game.

this game is a classic example of someone over complicating an already good system. they took the souls formula and tried to put their own spin on it by adding extra elements and dressing it up. in my opinion there are better games to spend my time on that did it way better.

Dark souls 2 but sci-fi. I actually like dark souls 2 though. There are plenty of reviews reciting the same complaints about level design, jankiness, combat issues.
I was enjoying the game until I made it to the arisen congregaters. Horrible change of pace for the beginning of the game. Gank fight, one shot attacks, spells go through walls, relentless. I have beaten every fromsoft game and this left me in shambles lol (Probably half my play time spent)
I can tell that the devs put passion into this. However, in the time I spent playing, I had a feeling it wasn't going to get any better.

This game is just absolutely incredible. Would highly highly suggest controller and buying the dlc to go with it. Definitely makes the experience better. Love me those secret doors too
