I'm a huge fan of Digitalmindsoft, I've played almost every RTS game that they've released but that 'DLC baiting' is pretty annoying. Call to Arms is one of the first generation RTS that combines TPS and FPS. If you really want to play this game you have to buy the DLCs. They force you to do that which is not a good thing. I hate DLC companies such as EA and Paradox Int. but unlike them I do think Digitalmindsoft is a good company. So buy if it's possible and enjoy the ride. Because it worths every penny. Also the devs are always active and in contact with the community. And there is also an enormous workshop.

this content is a broken joke. the objectives bug to the point where missions are unpassable. EG; I had an objective to take out an enemy vehicle, I took it out, mission never updated. I've also had times when the mission doesn't give me my medals for beating it on heroic... didn't have any mods on either so that's not the issue. there's no dialog during missions, just text that you have to read which is totally lazy, the new optics on the new guns (like the mp7 for the germans) don't show in the game when you zoom in, they just reuse the eotech optic overlay for literally every guns optic despite the fact that the optic it's self is clearly not an eotech, again, LAZY. over all this dlc is garbage from garbage devs. thankfuly theres modders out there that were able to fix lots of DMS's problems. just sad that a small team of 2-4 modders can do a better job then the actual devs. don't buy, not even when it's on sale.

Bought the season pass. But it appears that DLC from ostfront is not oncluded. Eve though that is DLC. They did a trick where ostfront is DLC of this game. And not DLC for this game. So they said they arent eligable to be included in the season pass. Meanwhile they dont put out DLC for call to arms itself. Its a blatand scam. But nothing we can do about it. Its just discusting. Ripping your customers off. I would even dare to say this is akin to stealing. First you buy something then the company decides you dont get it.

I wouldn't recommend this game......at the moment. Cons 1)Not too well thought out missions. Played the GRM campaign and it was great up to the second to last mission where it was your typical take control of a single tank and you have to stay alive with this one tank and AI in the others. You get to the final point of the mission and you realize there is a stronghold of like 15-20 units of armor that you need to destroy but you don't have 15 rounds of AT to take them out with and no place to reliably resupply, and may I add that unless you are right up on the enemy it is almost impossible to disable the tank. So you hope you can rely on your allies to at least do a little but no the get wrecked as soon as they get in range and they don't do the rationale thing, they do the AI thing of lets just funnel straight in instead and get torn to shreds. And some people may tell me that I suck at the game then, but I don't play games to become a master that can't lose I play to have fun, giving us a single area that we can resupply to a decent amount of ammunition is all this mission would take to be perfect. 2)German and Russian campaigns: You don't get both of the campaigns after the season pass was released 4 years ago for purchase and the base game was released 2 years ago. Shoot all I would need is one of the two campaigns to be developed to the point where it actually seems liked they tried. But I just got onto the German campaign, since the Russian campaign isn't even available yet. And I don't even get a voice over for the intro, and I know it is a small detail but for me trying to read the intro as fast as it goes through with the sound of gunshots and tanks firing is quite difficult so you don't even get the full effect. Like this can't take that much effort to find someone to read off a freaking script and record it and place it over the intro. And when in the First Person direct control you look at the weapon you have and when you aim the optic doesn't even match the gun. 3)How Long:I was so happy to hear the Russian campaign has had the 10th and I believe final mission completed until I saw the comment that they still need to do voice overs, and make complete all the scripting. They failed to complete the voice over for Germany so I can't wait to see what kind of fustercluck this is going to be. Pros: The GRM campaign provided a nice contrast from the American campaign. In the American campaign you usually have the strategic advantage and you wreck the GRM, but the GRM campaign turns the table on you and at the beginning you are doing everything in your power to kill a few soldiers to take their weapons for yourself because you are stuck with civilians with basic AKs, Lee Enfields, and Makarovs. Can't wait for the other campaigns to be completed AND voiced over so I can get even more variety. Overall: Get this. Just not yet! Keep up to date on the discussion posts and wait until it has been confirmed that the campaigns are complete and even then wait for it to be on sale. That is why I am only mildly dissapointed when I got this on sale and still spent FIFTEEN DOLLARS after FOUR YEARS. It is sad that this industry has come down to having players pay so much for so little at the start. And then even after the fact players still aren't getting what they paid for. I feel bad for the people who paid however much they had to pay at the beginning of all this because I would hedge my bets and say it is more than the 30 dollars they want now with no discount.

It must be said that by now all the content of this Season Pass is already released . Do not trust old reviews! It adds three campaigns: one with the terrorists, one with the Germans and another one with the Russians. All of them are finished. It also adds three new factions for all multiplayer, conquest and skirmish gamemodes: an International Coalition, Germans and Russian. All of them are balanced and have a bunch of unique material.
