This dlc gives you the zenith trader, expensive buildings that bring a lot of power, or a lot of utility, and if you like creating choke points then this is great, don't you just hate it when ships just try to zerg rush or sneak past your choke point? Not any more, zenith trader lets you build a blackhole machine so ships can't leave your system until it is destroyed, just perfect, put near your turrets, under a mountain of shelds, and why not get the building that makes your shield twice as strong while you're at it and so much more. Of course the AI can do much the same thing, so don't think this just makes you stronger, if you don't properly scout, you may just find yourself on a AI planet with a blackhole machine and you'll have to commit to fighting there until you either your ships die, the AI ships on the planet die, or you'll have destroyed the blackhole machine and have run away. Of course it's not just choke point fun, it adds golems to the game, which again adds more choices to the game, is it really worth it to pay the price of AI progress to repair this golem? And if you think it is, you better be careful with it, they're strong, but not solo the game strong, and once they're dead, they're gone, you'll have just gifted the ai some AI progress and you'll have nothing to show for it.
