Descent except it's modern

Awesome game. It's like Decent 1 & 2 on steroids!

It's almost like my childhood memories playing descent and being scared shitless, just more refined.

bought for the VR but its more of a gimmick than anything. poor controller support too, you couldnt pay me to use a dog shit xbox controller

How can this be worse than Descent from 1995? Even with its lower frame rate and crap optimization, the original Descent has better level design, better enemies and massive differences between difficulties (enemies fire faster, are nimbler and projectiles fly faster too), so it has much higher replay value. Overload is not bad, but considering how legendary the original Descent is (it's not nostalgia speaking, I played Descent for the first time a week ago), this game failed! Just make 1:1 original Descent with better frame rate, remastered soundtrack and higher resolution and frame rate ffs. Like who cares about some generic story about a mad scientist and aliens? Give me pure gameplay instead!

It is the real followup of the old old Descent 360-3D Shooter. Better grafics and the rest stayed the same. I loved Descent 2 back then and i love overload right now. Thanx for developing it. I am playing it with mouse and keyboard as well as with a normal controler RAIT I hope to play it sometime in the future with VR it must be murderous. There is (in my opinion) no other three-dimensional game with that amount of motion in different directions and rotations and more ,,,, love it, love it ... Feirefis

If you love descent and other 90s six degree shooters, this game is the best way to relive those glory days (outside of buying descent on gog, which surprisingly still holds up for how difficult it is). Overload is much more approachable in difficulty, and is super fun. My one nitpick is the level design can be somewhat lackluster, but overall a fun experience.

I've only played 3 hours and I already love this game. Overload is made by the same devs that made the Descent games back in the 90s and it's basically the same game with modern graphics and an upgrade system. Don't sleep on this one, it's really fun.

Quintessential game to play if you have a HOTAS and/or VR. Tight controls, easy to setup and works out the box with my X52 Pro. Performance is excellent, smooth and no stuttering. No Vsync past 60hz or framerate limiter in-game, so use external tools if you don't want to get 400fps.

One of the best Modern 6DOF games out there. This and Desecrators are holding up the market for this genre. The campaign is awesome, lots of upgrades and weapons and missles. Custom campaigns and mods as well!
