The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky the 3rd Reviews

Half a year after Trails in the Sky SC, Father Kevin Graham takes on a routine mission on behalf of the Septian Church. He and his partner are then plunged into a realm that follows an unnaturally strict set of rules and is as intent to open old wounds as it is to keep them behind closed doors.

I'm so glad I didn't skip this title in between sky sc and zero, it was totally worth it. Once you finish SC jump on in! It's very nice and I really like the traversal and party system and how it lets you play your way pretty much.

My guess is they had a bunch of stuff left over from the first two games, so they created a story that would allow nothing to go to waste. Turns out they actually pulled it off. The story is a banger, the combat is still just as good as the first two, and all the bonus lore/side stories and mini games are completely optional. I would highly recommend this game if your a fan of the first two games.

Many man consider the third game to be "unnecessary" and less interesting than the first two games, but in my opinion it is a fantastic opportunity to deep dive on some of the important characters that may have had less time to develop versus the primary case, flushes out many of the relationships in a meaningful way, allows for fun banter between different characters that I found both compelling and illustrative of each individual character's growth, concludes the story in meaningful and heartfelt way, and sets up the next entries plot very well. The gameplay is also just as addictive and fun as previous, moreso in some way as you get a much larger party allowing for more tactical options and fun, and I loved how the combination of characters you bring with you provides a slightly different narrative in certain boss battles and other parts of the game. In my opinion, this entry is as integral to the Sky plot as the first two, even if the major plot line for this arc, including the big bad, is already resolved. I think this is an important game to play if you want to understand the motivations and character progression of these beloved individuals in the context of the greater over-arching story going forward. I highly recommend.

This game is really fun and the arc is wrapped up nicely a lot of fun mini games and some frustrating rng stuff but the music is good and the gameplay is fun.

Another banger by Falcom...., I cant help but feel this series doesn't get the appreciation it deserves and its very underrated. This chapter was a bit different from the previous games but was a joy nonetheless. I am having a blast and I already started with Trails from Zero and cant wait to finish the series (will be a long ride).
A game that has everyone on the cast involved in all battles at some point I mean...this is just insane, and a huge cast at that

Richard
was a new favorite for me and the MVP I feel, he was insanely strong and you cant help but keep him on all important battles. Every character got their moments and when you finish the game you will get a different feeling for them surely. And dont get me started with the OST... damn man the Trails in the Sky OSTs was one of my favorites in video games imo. Lastly, if you did not start the Trails series... well what are you waiting for? If you like JRPGs then this is a must play game for you. 10/10 Game for me

Best game in the Sky trilogy. Best story, all the characters get moments to shine, loved most of the doors, and great music. Kevin is best boy, I wanna give him a hug. And Renne is now my daughter and must be protected at all costs. Overall, my favorite game so far (As of right now, I'm going through Zero currently) This game made me cry uncontrollably twice, which to me is a sign of a great piece of media. If you're planning on skipping this one, DON'T! While a lot of the doors are optional, they also contain lore bits that help flesh out the characters and world even more. It's a game that everyone should experience. 10/10 for me

This game is bombastic, its earnest, it's absolutely heart wrenching, its one of the most emotional games I've ever played and well deserving of all the build up FC and SC gave while closing off the Liberl arc. 10/10 would have heart torn out again.
