Dear Konami, i love to play MGO, your balance system is really nice (if their is one ?), it's been a few month i have this DLC, and never played either Quiet or on one of the 3 new maps (maybe because their is no player anymore ?) I always fell with the same ones... And i create my session, or using auto-matchmaking.
Anyway, it's really sad. I feel like it's a "disposable multiplayer game". I could work, if people were working on it, in order to make some improvment your game really need.
I really feel i could enjoy the game. But it seems the mention "playble" is enought for you.
And first of all, make this DLC free.

I paid money but can't play as Quiet. Only on some servers and also randomly. So 1/10 I am lucky to play with character I paid for and ony in some servers ? WTF?
And this multiplayer game is very very bad. The chaos, and only chaos. Enemy is responding from the back.... it destroying everything.

Hate to say it because this is sort of certified "f*ck KONAMI" moment, but this pack is recommended for MGO players as most people have MGSV Definitive Edition, so you should buy it if you want to be able to match with some other people in MGO.

DO NOT BUY. MGO 3 is pretty dead. The time I spent (and will continue spending) playing MGO 3 have been vanilla maps (how do I know, because I've basically memorized them from playing on PS3). For the two hours I played in MGO, I have never been able to play as Quiet and I have not been able to play on the new maps. Survival is also dead unless you can get other people from the forums. Save your money and buy something else. If anything, buy four of the MGS 3 uniforms since at least they have a use in FOB missions and the main game.

Ouch I bought this thinking it would be cool to play as quiet, but theres no one playing this game online anymore, managed to match once in about a 2 hour session of trying. that was only with 1 other player tho

Cloaked in Silence is a small but pretty good DLC and is fairly cheap so worth the money.
RUST PALACE - Lamar Khaate Palace
The map is really good for close range combat as the main area is the palace itself with the surrounding area offering decent amounts of cover. It's fun to go through each of the rooms checking for enemies and watching for snipers aiming at you from the outside from one of the many blasted holes in the walls.
CORAL COMPLEX - Motherbase
My favourite map from this DLC as it's great for both long and close range combat. This is what it would feel like if your FOB got invaded by a group of soldiers instead of just a solo stealth operation.
AZURE MOUNTAIN - Africa
Primarily for long range combat in it's open area of the African wilderness, a mountain stands in the middle ready for a team to be claimed king. With the little burned out buildings surrounding it snipers can make easy work of anyone out in the open.
With this DLC also comes a new special 'hero' character, Quiet.
She's very fast and has great skills with the sniper. As an added bonus she can also go invisible while sprinting to activate a movement speed boost.
The only thing I don't like about this DLC (and it's very, very minor) is that when Quiet is sprinting she will keep repeating a noise (sounds like "Hnh!") every few seconds which can get really annoying.
If you play MGO often then this is a must have. :)

They didnt even give quiet the most powerful sniper rifle, so she can get outsniped by highlevel scouts.
she also and obviously cant give ANY CALLOUTS. not even just text that appears, so youll get fultoned alot because no one knows to save you.
but she can run. thats it. that is her only good trait that makes her more than a normal scout.
honestly stick to snake v ocelot if your going for unique games.

Actually saying "Quiet" as Snake makes sense now. Be quiet, Quiet. Shut your mouth! Stop humming!
Also some 3 modified maps from single-player.
You don't actually have to buy this if you wanna try the new maps since next month is gonna have Survival, which will have all 3 maps for free (limited tries though, for ten times a week.)

Update:
I still stand by the review, and while at the time I did recommend it, its changed sadly. This DLC is pretty much pointless. So what happens if that not everyone owns the maps? Well you never get to play them in ranked matches. So maybe if players host it might be fine to a degree? Well seeing how barely 10 people host their own games along with them possibly not owning the DLC doesn't help either. I've played on these maps maybe like 5 times? Its so cheap to the point that it just should have been free. $3.99 for a DLC that no one uses; in turn you can't either. Unless you have some friends that are mental enough to get together and play.
Original review:
I only recommend this DLC because its so CHEAP; and having more maps is always nice to have.
HOWEVER, I personally think that this DLC is pretty dissapointing. It comes with two maps that are ripped straight out of the campaign with no major tweaks to them and don't blend well with MGO. While the other one is better with the design but it feels like been there done that. Its really a modified Mother Base.
RUST PALACE mainly takes place in a closed area to fight; but MGSV never really felt great when its closed off in tiny rooms let alone one that you can fall off on when on higher floors. Combine that with multiple players running around and shooting and what have you; it just doesn't feel good.
AZURE MOUNTAIN is very fun to play at first but only when you are on the small mountain that over looks the whole map killing players with mortar fire and snipers. Playing as the other team making their way up the mountain or close to it, you just get destoryed a lot of the time. Especially on Sabotage.
CORAL COMPLEX just has issues that its more so "been there done that" layout; if thats even an issue. However its departure from the other maps taking place in Africa and Afghanistan is a welcome change. Other then that, its a decent map.
So we have Quiet to play as. What can I say? She feels awesome to play. Quiet is quick, has some different animations of her own and abilities. You can get kills at ease and it feels great. I suppose my only problem is that you cannot communicate in anyway besides her humming tune which I don't think does anything besides to have it cause' Quiet. However, just like before the DLC; you cannot play as Snake, Ocelot, or Quiet in public games, only private. I get that to a point, but I spend a lot of my time in public matches, so I never get to really play as these characters. Maybe at random some players get them? A power up? Something at least.
So yeah, pretty meh DLC, but its $3.99. I guess they gotta keep it alive some how. On a side note, do not buy the appeal packs. Waste of money, but I digress.

Search FOBCharacterEnable on nexus and you basically get this dlc but for story mode (and free) and that free mod is more enjoyable than this ‘dlc’
