Worth a purchase if on sale, dont think I'd pay the full amount.
As others state, revolver and other guns maxed out can compare to this gun. This is slighty stronger, but ammo is "buy" only, while most faction bases have all the ammo you need for "regular" game weapons.
HOWEVER, if you use a Trainer/mod, and use an all ammo cheat, this will be you go-to pistol in the game, and you wont have to waste upgrades on it!! Sniping snipers with a pistol is great, and Generals go down in 2-3 headshots shots, less than that early on.

Non-essential weapon DLC. [b]Rico's Signature Gun DLC[/b] gets you Rico's original gun from Just Cause 1. However the gun itself is completely impractical and costly to use. The regular revolver is stronger and ammo for the revolver can be found easily in game whereas there is no ammo for Rico's gun to be found. Unless you for some reason have nostalgia for Just Cause 1 there is no real reason to buy this. if you're going to pick it up anyway get it on sale or in the Just Cause Collection.

Unique ammo, so you have to buy it again to get more ammo. Does not have a grenade launcher, in spite of what it looks like in the picture. Just use other guns.

It disappointed me really. The gun from the first game has a great and powerful firepower, ended up not being as it's expected. Seriously, to get this gun, you at least need to complete one mission (prologue) and access it by contacting the Black Market Dealer. You still have to pay via in-game money. Pathetic really.
Also, if you swap the guns with the same damn gun-type, you will have to call the black market again and spend about in-game $4000 money just to buy the goddamn thing.
In addition, unlike the first game. This gun is NOT INFINITE AMMO!

Was completely disappointed after trying this weapon out in game. Rico's Signature Gun may have higher rate of fire, but it's damage is weaker than the normal revolver unfortunately

Short version:DO NOT BUY THIS IT IS A RIPOFF.

It's obsolete compared to the other weapons later on in the game (and in early game). The ammo costs 40000$ to refill, it only has a six round capacity/magazine unlike the upgraded revolver. You might also see that grenade launcher on the gun, the picture even shows a grenade for it TOO BAD IT'S NOT IN THE FUCKING GAME. I tried like holding down the button which is how you detonate TNT in the game but that didn't work. The game never gives any indication it can be used and there is no listed key that launches the grenade. Do not buy this it's just a downgrade of the upgraded revolver on top of arguably false marketing. I suggest you save your money or buy the Black Market Aerial Pack as it has at least two things of use included in the bundle.

If you thought the Bull's Eye Assault Rifle was bad, imagine having a gun that is out performed by the standard PISTOL.
Yep, these fancy looking (that's all the compliments i have for it) pieces of paperweights can barely kill a rat let alone anyone in the Panau military.
And if you want to keep these JC1 throwbacks fed with ammo, that'll be $40,000 thanks!
Seriously Avalanche, could've made DLC or all items from the Black Market free to retrieve forever after one purchase, but... Nope!
Just don't even bother reading my Multiplayer Mod note, go back a page and forget you ever saw this DLC.
A note i'll add at the end of DLC reviews: All DLC items you own will carry over to servers on the Multiplayer Mod that choose to run DLC items. However the rules on using items vary from server to server.

Literally weaker than a fully upgraded default pistol.
This guns main downfall is like all other DLC weapons; The ammo is exclusive to the black market and it's expensive as hell.
The promo image also seems to imply that it has a grenade launcher, but if it does I can't figure it out.

The same criticism goes for this as nearly all the other guns you can buy via DLC: you have to keep buying more ammunition from the boring, repetitive, annoying Black Market. Just upgrade the standard machine and submachine guns and you can easily replenish your ammo for free via troop drops while maintaining an equivalent lethality.

Just plain don't buy. The damage doesn't compare to other similar weapons, the ammo is unique, and the grenade launcher feature implied by the marketing image is a complete fiction.
