the food mechanic is aggrivating but it exists to keep the player moving so it accomplishes its job well. there are a few things I wish were tweaked like getting comboed before you can recover from a downed state or the camera being a little drunk sometimes. Over all an amazing lil gem I'm looking forward to completing.

After nearly 30 hours of gametime, I have lost interest in finishing this game. The way the death system functions aswell as the amount of downtime there is has ruined the remaining good bits this game had. After you beat the desert, this game becomes a backtracking fiesta.

The game is a slog, it doesn’t respect our time. It take many hours to farm good equipment and upgrade it, and you will need good equipment from the desert forward, the game becomes insanely hard there without it. But if you spend the entire day farming for good equipment, and even so commit a mistake in a game hard like this one? Now you need to get your equipment back with a second character, spend another day farming and god forbid you commit a mistake with the second character as well, now you have to do everything again with a third character and hope to save at least the second character, and so on. The first two bosses of the game are hard to kill, but fair, you don’t need to farm, just go forward. But then comes the desert, where enemies that are quite fast will kill you with two hits if you don’t have good armor. And if you don’t have a good weapon you can’t kill them before they hit again, after blocking. Then starts the slog, the never ending farming for levels, for the dark rapier, for the silver sword, good armor, upgrading everything in the blacksmith… Farm for potions, farm for food… Everything in this game is a neverending grind. It wouldn’t be so bad if I was leveling up and being able to push forward, but it wasn’t the case. Leveling becomes very slow, and you gain one attribute point per level that won’t change much, unless you spend a really long time farming. I would do it if either the game threw good enough breakable gear to keep going, or if my upgrades to my equipment were permanent. But they aren’t, if you let your equipment break, it’s over. If you resurrect a character without the help of another character, it’s over, you lose all your equipment and your hard earned upgrades. It feels to me like this offline game has the grinding ambition of an MMORPG, but without the permanent bonuses of this kind of grind. Despite all that the game is good, it is puzzling, it makes you think and try again. It doesn't underestimate the player. It kept me engaged and made me hate play it to the end.

Inferno Climber is a wild game. Yes, it looks like Dark Souls. If you're expecting combat of that depth, don't buy this. The real flavor here is in the wild survival sim mechanics that, by the end of the game, have you eating garlic chicken to boost your attack power and farming fruit from trees and eggs from your chickens to make that food, as well as an atmosphere that only becomes more and more oppressive as the game proceeds. It's cheap, it's unpolished, but it's really, really rewarding if you give it the time.

This game is like Animal Crossing, Mario Bros, Zelda, Monster Hunter and Dark Souls all were put in a blender and this is what came out. A extremely long and difficult story-light action rpg with large levels, difficult enemies and bosses and a detailed rpg system that was definitely heavily inspired by all the games mentioned above. In short if you love Dark Souls, Mario and Zelda and don't mind some monster hunter style hunger and equipment management mechanics buy this game, it's fantastic. What it doesn't have in graphics it makes up for in mechanics. The game has some very interesting 'trials' to complete underground for special reward. You also can manage up to 8 characters and switch them out at will so you can always experiment with your loadouts with each character so if you get that powerful mage item with your knight don't worry you just put it in a box and can transfer it. Also of notice is each time you start a new game your item box items will remain in the box so you can redo the game with better equipment if you want to although there is no NG+ as far as I'm aware; but the game doesn't really need it. It's more than difficult enough as is. Just be aware that the game kinda starts slow but gets more enjoyable the longer you play it.

This game seems like a ton of fun, really i would've loved to get to play more than just a half an hour...but seriously though the motion sickness is real. I haven't had a game get me this bad in years...if you get sick from motion do stay away, but otherwise it seems like a very enjoyable title.

This is not the "Reborn" version of this game, and unfortunately it is completely unplayable for modern PCs. I have a good PC that runs games like The Witcher 3 at 60fps, but this game was slingshotting from 100fps to single digits every couple of seconds. It's unfortunate, because I really do like the art style and it looks fun. EDIT: The Reborn version is on the Microsoft store and it works great. This game is actually so underrated, I do recommend checking it out. Dumb as heck that it still isn't updated here lmao

Chibi Zelda-Souls is a very nice summary... You start off as a character with many "lives/classes" and if u die with one, you will pick another class/character, you have to ress the dead one with a ress scroll you buy for 60 coins, and the dead one will be unaviable until you ress them or break their graves, which destroys all their inventory including money, but their acuumaleted XP will remain. You will eventually after the tutorial get to a base which is sort of like a nexus or a hub, from which u access the other areas. As well as stock up on supplies, and you will get new merchants after u kill a boss. As you get into the game you will mostly be using a sword and bow, or staffs for magic. I do not think the parry function is in the game yet so u will have to make due with blocking. Chests have randomized loot. for the most part, and respawn like enemies. The enemies are alittle dissapointing in terms of variety, you have 4 types. The skeleton which comes in a variety from sword+shield, sword, agressive and though red type, a "suprise" one which comes outta chests, and bow men. The slugs or jelly beans are wither blue, red or green, Red ones can divde them seves after they loose some HP, Green ones ooze and can casue DEF down, all of them can make you oily which meakes it easier to get set aflame. And some weird flying purple eye/orb with eye, which will either shoot, grab you or fly towards you with the propeller on their head. In addition to a health bar and stamina bar, the stamina drops as u run/sprint, jump or fight. You also have a hunger meter, so u will have to get and eat food, luckily in the first areas it is not a very big problem to find, and some enemies have a chance of dropping some. If your hunger meter goes to zero you will start loosing HP until u eat. All characters share progress, all though the enmies will return if u enter another zone, or die. They also share XP so that you dont have to level up another one, makes it alittle easier. The game has some nice levels/zones, atm we have 2, not counting the tutorial, a forest and a castle. Both are very fun to explore but with the repetetive and punishing enemies, it gets abit tedious after you get stuck in an area. There is also some intersting puzzles allthough the solutions are not always so obvious. And you will eventually discover the games crafting mechanincs, like cooking and upgrading weapons. All in all a very fun and enertaining game. cant wait to see what comes! If you have any questions dont hesitate to ask and I will try to respond as well as I can

FIRST OF ALL DON'T BUY THIS VERSION!!! I bought this version of the game thinking it was the same as Inferno Climber Reborn..... Nope its the old version of the game. This game has not been updated since 2016 and if you want the latest version you need to buy it on the Microsoft Store... Not on Steam... Not only does it cost less there, but it is also the version that will support newer GPUs, CPUs, Windows APIs... its basically the better product and it pains to see that Arc System has not been called out for not adding the Reborn version of the game on Steam... Arc System Works is not updating this game at all so if you have a modern PC it is not gonna work, the last update was in 2016... just does not work at all on modern computers. Blazing mess of a game. Quite clearly if you have a modern PC that is not running a last generation video card this game messes up and is unplayable due to frame studdering and overall low frame rate. I have a i7-intel 6 core CPU, 64GB of Ram, SSD drive, and an RX580. It should have been an easy thing for my computer to run this game... and my Switch gets better over all frame rate. I only considered getting the PC version because it looked like I could get 60FPS easy and a full 1080p... which it does hit 1080p... but the frame rate is jumping between 5 fps and 60 fps at least 4 times a second. Again if this game simply worked I think its an alright game... but I can't even enjoy it because lowering the resolution down to 720p and to the most simplistic settings does not fix any of the issues. Really frustrating as this is a Unity Engine game, and there is no reason why it should have just worked except that the team did not optimize the code for PC at all and have not bothered updating the game. Anyway I am going to wait for my Steam refund to come in, I already bought the "Reborn" version and I see no reason to pay for a worse product.... as the Reborn game gets 60FPS easily and does not have any of the issues above and costs less.
