Last game Raven software made before becoming call of duty slaves

It's a fun, often overlooked game with time powers that add some variety to combat. However, huge warning on this one: I have played FPS games my entire life, I have never gotten motion sick from them, but this game for some reason made me violently ill every time I tried to play it. The only way I could get through the campaign was to install a widescreen/FOV hack. There overall is a lack of options, no subtitles, either. But it is a fun weekend game if you can get it for under $10 (it often goes on sale).

Love the gameplay and story. You will need an addon if you want to play it on a widescreen monitor though. I highly recommend the program "flawlesswidescreen" which will easily correct the game and in my opinion making it look soo much better than what tweaking the setting will give you.

Another really fun PC game, I genuinely enjoyed playing this title. Nothing too fancy and only about 6 hours to play through once but a pretty solid choice for the price I got it at.

Singularity is such an underrated FPS. I loved this game back in the day, and it holds up very well today. It's a shame it didn't get the love and attention it deserves. Raven did a fantastic job. I highly suggest this game for FPS gamers and those who enjoy a great story. I have no complaints about this game. It's arguably better than some Call of Duty games.

I was looking for a story-driven sci-fi/alternate history shooter, and I got one. Many things could have been better — like the story or the sense of impact from the gunfire — but it was still a joyto play. They don’t make games like this very often anymore. It was also great to have weapon upgrades and character enhancements. As usual, they turn you into an unstoppable killing machine by the end of the game.

the game is fine. levels are okay, story is fine, but i am leaving a thumbs down because this game is *nauseating* to play. your camera constantly shakes no matter what you do. melee attack? shaky cam. shoot? shaky cam. run? insanely shaky cam. attacked? shaky cam. it's not the first or the last game i've played where the camera moves a lot but the way it moves in *this* game made me insanely nauseous and for that alone i do not recommend it. the game stands at very positive on steam, and i can see why, but i just cannot get over how sick it made me.

This game turned out to be surprisingly good for its age. Combat and gunplay feel smooth, and the special abilities and perks are easy to use and intuitively understandable. The visuals are also on point for a 2010 game. The story seems kinda silly, but I don’t judge, it’s all just fiction. The overall atmosphere is spot-on, with lots of notes and audiologs scattered around the levels to give you a sense of what was going on in the past. Hell, it even has some horror elements, with a couple of sneaky jumpscares that caught me by surprise. On the downside, the game is so short you could finish it within two evenings (it took me a little under 9 hours, and I nose-picked every corner). It’s really a shame, because there's a decent variety of weapons, weapon upgrades, and perks to play around with. However, I don’t feel compelled to replay it just to try out different weapons or perk setups. Also, there are no subtitles, which is a minor inconvenience for those who like to play in English when it’s not their first language. Funny thing is, I bought it back in 2015, and it just sat in my library until now, lol. Although it’s really short and the $30 price tag is kind of insane, you can grab it on sale and have a great time without investing much time or effort. When I bought it in 2015, I paid around $3. As of writing this review, it’s on sale for $9.89, which seems fairly reasonable. All in all, a good game to waste a couple of evenings.

R.I.P. Raven Software, you used to make games. Now you make COD. This was a fun little narrative FPS with some unique mechanics. Worth playing if only to experience the more positive of what AAA gaming had to offer in the mid 2000s.
What Is Singularity?
Singularity is a Half Life 2 "like" it has puzzless , manipulation of the enviroment and some other mechanics too , is a shooter with time manipulation and a good story. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Scores:
Story: It has a decent story, with some good characters , an easy story to follow , is nothing special , but.. it has its charm for a game from the 2010's Score: 6 Atmosphere: The game has a very nice atmosphere, is not a colorful enviroment, but it has some cool places , is dark and somewhat depressing , has nights that looks very cool with the shine of the industrial metal facilities and other places where is all but dark. Score: 7 Gameplay: the weapons work very nice, they have impact and a good sound , there's not a huge variety but all have their own unique form and uses , but the King is the autocannon that weapons is THE best in the game, once you have it you never want to leave it , also the general movement and the feel of the game is fluid. Score: 7 Soundtrack: Is kinda good, it has some dark themes and others are very action/adventure based , not a lot, but they are good. Score: 6 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Overall: Is a good game, it has its moments, highs and lows , if you love "Half Life likes" this game is for you! , but if you are not, is good anyways , if you have a gaming night with action a good story some good enviroment puzzles and shoot a lot of enemies, then go for it! (if is on sale) General Score: 7
