The Temple of Baba Yaga-DLC for Rise of the Tomb Raider adds a new territory called the Forgotten Vale into the existing gameworld. Apart from the new area, two new challenge maps and some new outfits and weapons, it offers a unique new story with some impressive visual elements along the way. However, the game tries to set up the story in a way that there is a huge reveal at the end, but the "twist" becomes so painfully obvious after a few minutes already, that it fails horribly at delivering a revelation to the player. All in all Baba Yaga is not a bad expansion, but for the asking price of 9,99€ you might want to wait for a sale as the DLC can be finished in a very short amount of time (somewhere between 1 to 2 hours, a little more if you want to collect all the different hidden items). Still I am giving a thumbs up because I did enjoy my time with it.
Not worth 10€
I got this after achieving 100% completion in the base game. They promise 3h of gameplay. In reality, it's about 1 hour of story and another hour of finding collectibles. ✓ New weapons, new outfit, and a small new area New bow with special poisonous arrows, a new SMG called "snowflake" and the ultimate "savage survivor" outfit (which in my opinion fits Lara pretty nicely). The new area is small but fun. ✗ Simple and mediocre story If your IQ is above 80, you'll see the "plot twist" coming since the very start, and the reveal comes so quickly it's not even surprising. I thought "they can't be serious, there has to be more depth", but within an hour I was already in the final boss fight, which was outrageously easy (even on survivor difficulty), and after that it's all honey and flowers for the 3 new characters introduced. That's it, that's the DLC. ✗ Terrible bang for buck Seriously, you spend 10€ on a DLC hoping for a thrilling story, guns and bullets, hoards of enemies and adrenaline rushes... and this is what you get: a story with the complexity of a children's book that can be finished before you start getting immersed into it. No character development, a very small new area and boring collectibles (there's nothing to examine, just audio logs). It's so obvious that they cut this off the base game to sell it separately, it's sickening.
Verdict
Avoid unless heavily discounted. The whole season pass for RotTR looks quite disheartening, this seemed to be like the only DLC that would be worth it because of the story, but it's not even close. It was good playing with my waifu Lara once again, but I'm very disappointed.
Rise of the Tomb Raider - Baba Yaga: The Temple of the Witch DLC
This essentially starts off as another "help the natives" side mission: you offer to help Nadia, a young Remnant, track down her gramps who's off to kill the wicked witch of the Vale. After a few basic tasks, the story turns into something more—it's an additional 2 hours (taking your time) of enjoyably spooky gameplay. A decent narrative, if a little short and on the nose. Worth it on a sale if you're eager for some more TR action. Pros:

More Tomb Raider action is never a bad thing;
New supernatural elements offer a refreshing twist on the usual formula;
A good excuse to revisit some previous areas;
Completing the DLC adds some fun perks (weapon + outfit);
Decent boss fight and some challenging puzzles.
Neutral:

Not much in the way of changing up the usual gameplay (the only weapon that could have is received upon completion).
Cons:

Not enough content to justify the current price tag;
Story is obvious from the start;
No challenge tomb.
Not really worth the full price, but it is a very good DLC. Worth it if you REALLY enjoy this game Its very short not too much content added....
It adds a good 'puzzle', boss fight and several achievements. You also get a unique bow with effect and outfit. Also a very good jumpscare that caught me both times I played it
