It is very nostalgic for me, as over rated as that is now. It was the time after my Mom passed and I was 14 and my cool older cousin gave it to me and he was the "computer guy". I was before and am still using this to distract myself from painful situations and circumstance. It helped. At the time (02) this game hit every note for me! Fantasy, lore, magic, 8 Elements, resource management, RTS, LOTR clone lol, whose beings are so unique and of their element. Idk... its good old-school fantastical fun.

It's ok. There's not much going on and I can see why people like it, coming up with broken strategies and all that. I waited until Balkoth was to distracted fighting Life and Order over the Fire Capital to notice My Chaos Commandos sack his capital in a daring raid.
