finished it and it wasnt really a bad experience, but there are too many things i really dont like about it
- the combat is floaty, it feels like im just flailing around without any real weight
- the hitboxes are atrocious
- a lot of the attacks are homing at you and deleyed, often feels like the timing is varied too
- there is a lack of move variety and the fights often turn into a slogfest
- you lack tools to handle a lot of the monsters specially if they can fly so often you are just waiting for them to come down
- due to a lack of moves a lot of the monsters feel like they are the same effecting your feeling of variety
- camera is your biggest enemy
i like a lot of things too
+ the theme of the game is really cool
+ the side characters and the story is interesting and engaging
+ overall the design variety looks good, but as i pointed out they often
+ the whole thing with breaking parts and purification is great, specially that there is often a 2nd stage where parts regrow stronger and cooler
as i said its not a bad game, but it feels annyoing due to its archaic nature, if you have some nostalgia or want to play an older monster hunter-esque game on PC you can try it
but overall in 2025 i cant recommend
