The game works after following the above guide to bypass the Ubisoft launcher. I receive two errors for missing files after starting the game but it launches immediately after without issue.

I am not sure why the hate, but after the years still holds as a game that has zen like gameplay.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️☆ (4/5)
From Dust is a unique god-game that lets you manipulate the environment to help a wandering tribe survive and thrive. The visuals are stunning, with dynamic water, lava, and terrain physics that make every action feel powerful. Watching rivers form, volcanoes erupt, and land reshape in real-time is mesmerizing.
However, the controls can feel a bit clunky, especially when trying to move terrain precisely. The AI can also be frustrating at times, with villagers occasionally getting stuck or taking inefficient paths. The campaign is engaging but somewhat short, and the challenge mode adds some replayability.
If you enjoy games like Populous or Black & White, this is worth checking out. It’s a beautiful and creative experience, even if it has a few rough edges.
