Imagine Star Wars but with the Build engine ! Sounds good, right ? Now, imagine Blood or Duke Nukem except you remove the cool environments, the fun and you turn the "jank" dial to 11. That's Star Wars Dark Forces. Random mines behind doors, behind medkits for some reason, moments where you HAVE to take damage to progress. Jank Jank Jank ! Fuck this.

the game is very good, something like doom and even a remaster was released where the characters and guns are more detailed, and if you liked the game then you can play the second part (I didn't play it, I just noticed)

Was OK when it first came out. Today... it hasn't aged well, and it's not worth your time. Start with maybe Jedi Knight II. For a scifi FPS of this era, check out the Marathon trilogy (Halo -3/-2/-1), which has an open-source engine (Aleph One) and got a graphical facelift by Microsoft for the Xbox 360.
