My impressions after finishing the game leave me genuinely amazed! I have a deep admiration for projects crafted by truly talented people — when the skills of a storyteller, an artist, and a composer come together so harmoniously. It’s wonderful that we live in the era of video games — a form of symbiotic art capable of absorbing everything. And in doing so, it becomes a truly unique medium for creativity. I first played Distraint and Distraint 2, then Heal. And now — Silence of the Sleep. I was surprised to learn that this was actually the very first game. Some signature elements — solid and distinctive — were already present, and they’ve since become hallmarks of the creator’s style. You can instantly tell: this is a Jesse Makkonen game. I believe that, as a creator, Jesse sometimes borders on genius. The originality of the stories and the way they're told really hit hard. Suspense, unease, the play of light and shadow — all of it is masterfully controlled. And oh, how satisfying it is to pay money for something like this (damn capitalism)! I sincerely hope all the future projects I have yet to experience will impress me just as much.
