After playing all 4 maps, 3/4 of the maps are Very very hard and will offer some challange and brings back some of the hardest/most anoying enemys from Rev1 and Re6.
This pack will offer a challange for some and piss off others (my self included).

There are several different reasons why I don’t recommend this product.
1. I am thoroughly disappointed at the notion of this being a "throwback." These maps were created only about 2.5 years ago.
2. “4 nostalgic maps from iconic series locations” I can understand the selection of the Queen Zenobia map, simply because Raid mode was an original feature in Revelations 1, but I disagree with the other 3 maps entirely. Resident Evil 6 wasn’t exactly a classic, or something we should all remember and enjoy in the years to come. It was a game that did not meet sales expectations, it had extremely mixed reviews/ratings, and is generally disliked by the core RE fan base. Why would we want to revisit something from a product that reeked of such mediocrity? Resident Evil 5 was a better received game than its successor, so there could have been at least one map from that game. Nostalgic? … what a joke.
3. I fully understand that making the choice to go back to the original gameplay and formula of the classic Resident Evil games is something that needs to take a lot of consideration and is generally a huge risk, but the fans have been asking for this for a while. The least Capcom could have done was add maps from the older titles of the series to show that they still care about what the fans think.
4. I’m getting sick and tired of paying for DLC’s that merely port content over from previous games. It’s completely unoriginal. I honestly wouldn’t mind paying more to have maps created from scratch.

It adds maps from previous Resident Evil games that you'll find familiar, but honestly, just get it in the Deluxe Edition/in sales.

I've seen a lot of people in these reviews mention that they expected maps based on the Ps1 games, like the Spencer Mansion, RPD, Raccoon City's streets...
My expections weren't even that high. I just expected this to be a bunch of maps from Resident Evil 4, 5, and maybe Revelations. But no, as has happened time and time again, Capcom has managed to destroy my expections in such a way, that I felt like an idiot when I finally played the maps.
You pay 5€ for 4 shitty maps. Yes, 4 maps. Not even the default 6 that you'd expect. And you don't even get to play them on the maximum difficulty. Great!
But at least the maps are good, right? No! They're not even maps from Resident Evil 4 or 5 as I expected, it's 1 map from Revelations and 3 maps from Resident Evil 6. What kind of fucking throwback is that?! Revelations 1 was just 3 years old when this dlc released, and Resident Evil 6 wasn't even 2 years old yet. Not to mention, most Raid mode maps were already taken from Resident Evil 6, and a couple from Revelations. What the hell, Capcom?
And the maps themselves are honestly very shitty. The Revelations 1 map is really small, it's just the golden main hall, I had some hope that you'd at least get to explore the Solarium, because the door can be opened at the end, but nah, you don't even get that. You just fight a few dogs and that boss from Revelations 1. It doesn't even add any new enemies or nothing.
And the same goes for the other 3 maps from Resident Evil 6. Not only do they add nothing new, they also like to repeat 2 or 3 enemies all the way through. The mines level is the one with the most variety, but it's not much. The one with the town is basically just a bunch of the blob guys that throw that shit that blinds you, and the Jelly guys that are annoying as fuck. The party room stage from 6 is basically just enemies from the first chapter.
Not only that, but because it's only 4 maps, they decided to increase the enemy count to pad out the length, with some maps having 40 enemies and others having 60. Each one basically takes 10 minutes to beat, which is way too much for levels that pretty much have only one room.
This is garbage. It's only worth it if you get the deluxe edition which comes with it. But even then, you probably shouldnt' even bother playing them.

1 map from resident evil Revelations 1 and 3 maps from Resident evil 6.. Throw back is more of a RESIDENT evil 1-3. Not worth 5 bucks

You get the banquet from Leon's campain in RE6, Revelations' Zenobia Main Hall, mining tunnels for a protection mission, and the plaza that had the giant BOWs from Chris' campaign in RE6.
For iconic locations, only the first two come close to it. With RE4 HD and RE1 HD aout, I'm surprised they didn't use locations from those games. THOSE would have been good throwbacks and could have taken one of the RE6 map spots. Instead, you're reminded of RE6 and all its... "glory". It's as if RE6 was the easiest to recycle because it had all its HD assets long before the others. These maps are also quite small, similar to the other... RE6 locations in raid mode.
I don't want RE6 on top of my RE6 in raid mode, Capcom.

When I think 'Throwback,' I think the Spencer Mansion from RE1, the Raccoon City Streets, Police Department, and the Secret Umbrella Labs from RE2, Rockfort Island from Code: Veronica, hell, even the Eliptic Express from RE0.
Capcom's idea of Throwback, it seems, comes in the form of the Party Hall from the start of Leon's Campaign in RE6, Requiem of War Mercenaries stage from RE6, the Queen Zenobia Grand Hall from RE:Rev1, and some kind of sewer/mine Stage.. which is also from RE6.
The throwback stages consist of 3 stages from RE6, and 1 stage from RE:Rev..... except MOST of the Raid Mode levels are RE6 anyways, meaning its less of a throwback, and more of a throw-in.
I'm not impressed. Raid Mode is fun, yeah, but don't be fooled by this. It's hardly nostalgic. Pass this one up.

Calling this a "throwback" is misleading and even dishonest on Capcom's part, as it only contains maps from Resident Evil 6 and Revelations 1. 80% of the raid mode maps are already pulled from RE6 content... this is no more of a throwback than any other map already in the game.
The 4 maps recycled here aren't even particularly fun or enjoyable. In fact, I regard them as being among the worst raid maps in the entire package. There's really no reason to buy, as it fails to provide quality or even nostalgia.
