Episode Three is probably the most important episode story-wise. Along with this, it's probably one of the longest parts of the game. However, at the end of Claire's segment, you will be forced to make a decision that will change the ending of the game. If you choose the "wrong" decision, you'll get probably one of the worst endings out of any RE game. Still, though, it's an enjoyable episode.

In response to a certain review, not all big budget titles have bad stories. A good amount have entertaining stories and RE:R2 is no exception. It was really entertaining to blast through the hordes of monsters in this game and it's a very refreshing turn for the series that have been stuck in the Resident Evil 6 grave the series dug itself. Resident Evil finally realized that it needed to stick what the series is most known for: monsters, claustrophobic combat, mixed environments and tense situations requiring skill and resource reservation. Welcome to what RE6 should have been.
Resident Evil Revelations 2 Episode 3: 9,5/10
- VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Review of Episode 3: The Claire/Moire chapter not only is again very strong in survivor mode, which is amazing, considering the evolution of RE games, but also boosts amazing textures and lightning to generate a very creepy atmosphere full of tension and terror. The biggest new (old) addition are the classic RE-puzzles... they might not be to everyone's taste, but they are very classic and fun for those who solved those back in the day. I love how the game solves single player co-op, but still, not featuring online co-op in this game is disappointing, because it would make strategic stealth and survival even more complex and fun. This is THE major downside: Lack of online co-op! One thing that deserves a mention are the boss fights... they are really REALLY tough... The Barry chapter is no pick-nick, but is much shorter, but still great, with lots of opportunities for co-op kills and stealth.

In this new episode, Resident Evil Revelations 2 still tries its best to be a good survival horror game. The adventure continues with Claire, Moira, Barry and Natalia while revealing a bit more of the story. The gameplay is as good as before, proving one more time that Resident Evil is back on tracks. The boss fights are really cool too. However the graphics are still not that good. This episode is longer than the others but once I’v finished it I was wishing for only one thing : I can't wait to play the last episode!

The third episode for the RE Revelations 2 saga. First off lets get this out of the way. This episode features a non obvious choice during Clair and Moria's portion. What happens at that juncture will determine an outcome for the next episode. So keep that in mind. If you wish to know more look it up as I won't say the exact context in which it occurs. So keep that in mind. On a side note this DLC is also longer than the previous 2 episodes were. As for the story If you liked the first 2 episodes then this is a continuation of that main story and helps to advance it towards the final episode in a meaningful way. Don't expect any huge plot twists. While there is one or two that you may not see coming the other ones are ones you'll probably see coming.
Review
If you try to take a look at the reviews most people don’t tell why they dislike it. The only thing that is hated is that its split in episodes. Yeah, playing the package and seeing a “last time on lost” esque recap is just idiotic. But being able to buy now the whole package: what does the game offer now? Gameplay First the biggest difference to revelations 1 is that the npc who follows you is now someone you can actively change to at any time. There is also the possibility to play the game in split screen which is somewhat the optimal way. Its one of the most unique coop games as its a story that is meant to be played for two people. You constantly split up and have to do tasks that help the other person to advance. In combat only one person uses weapons while the other has two options. If you play as moira you have solely a flashlight and a melee weapon. Both being useful support weapons for setting up follow attacks. If you play as the kid in barry episodes you are basically useless. You can only throw bricks which are break easily, dont do any damage and are hard to set up. Your task is solely to point at invisible enemies if they appear. This creates a somewhat of a asymmetric coop shooter that is more horror focused than resident evil 5 while also being relatively fun in combat, if you aren’t playing the kid in barry´s episode. Instead of upgrading weapons through a shop, you can find upgrades in secret chests that the support character can open. There is also a skill system adding some abilities which is okay. There is also high replay value with various different modes or the mercenaries mode that is a bit more easier than the first revelations and less grindy. Story You are trapped on an island, starting in a prison and going further to explore what this island is about. If you play barry´s episode, its set in a different time uncovering more. Those two storylines collide and end up in a satisfying finale that is a bit more memorable than the first revelations, although having not much in common story wise aside a few mentions. Sound Maybe one of the weaker resident evil soundtracks while still being decent. Voice acting is available in more than just English, also neat. Graphics Originally programmed for being a download title, its available even on the PS vita. But this is not that noticeable on the pc port. It has a decent grunge look to it and feels more like a silent hill game. Neat. Conclusion/TL;DR I think its a decent resident evil spin-off. The unique coop aspects is what made the game really fun for me. It stands out from the rest due to this, although having its downsides. Combat is decent but absolutely boring for people who have to play the child. There should have been more aspects to the support character gameplay. Although its still fun playing this coop horror shooter.

Reviewing (mostly) every game (or DLC) in my library, part 369: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️☆☆ (8/10) Episode 3 is where Revelations 2 fully embraces its video-game-y moments, trading some of the creeping survival horror from earlier episodes for bigger action set pieces and over-the-top stages. It’s a mixed bag, but there’s still a lot to enjoy, especially if you love seeing the characters develop under pressure. 💉 Pros:

Classic RE puzzle and horror moments. The episode opens with Claire and Moira in an abandoned factory and a slaughterhouse, which instantly reminded me of older RE games. The puzzles are simple, but cruel in a way that makes the environment feel dangerous and oppressive. You get that classic “oh crap, what’s around the corner?” tension that RE is known for.
Barry and Natalia gameplay innovations. Finally, Barry gets some unique gameplay moments. One of the sewer sections has him and Natalia working independently but in tandem, which adds a nice twist to the campaign’s usual formula. Yes, you'll be slogging through sewers and pushing boxes around, but it felt smart to me. I didn't mind the busywork.
Character development and writing. Despite the occasional slog, Episode 3 really digs into the characters. Claire, Moira, Barry, and Natalia all have moments that flesh them out, and we get a lot of backstory. Dialogue is sharp and natural, and it helps keep the story compelling even when the gameplay might drag.
Enemy design and combat. While the episode is heavy on action, the enemies remain threatening. In Barry's segment, you're introduced to invisible enemies only Natalia can see. She must point them out to Barry. I thought this was pretty fresh and fun!
Atmospheric environments. The factory and slaughterhouse levels are dark, industrial, and bloody as hell. The sewer segments, while long, are claustrophobic and dripping with that grim, oppressive vibe that RE does best.
🐊 Cons:

Long, repetitive sewer sections. Much of the episode focuses on sewer stages, which might feel like filler. You'll have long corridors, slow wadding through sludge, and repeated enemy encounters. Honestly, though, I thought this sewer section was done pretty well.
Boss fights are health sponges. Claire’s final boss in the episode is basically a giant health bar with minimal strategy required. It’s a slog to beat, and while visually intimidating, it's not that fun.
Action overload. Compared to Episode 2’s tension-filled survival horror, Episode 3 leans more heavily on combat and video-game-y set pieces. While fun in small doses, it sacrifices some of the suspense and horror that made earlier episodes so compelling. Episode 3 is the longest and certainly my favourite chapter so far. Capcom have yet to fix the framerate and stuttering issues however so my original review of the first episode still stands on that front.

i give this game : 7/10. FYI : i have played all evil games that was released before this one. === the game is OK, it's not bad, it's not that good either, it could have been better. i still liked it better than evil 6 to be honest, i gave evil 6 : 6.5/10. huge evil franchise fan ! evil 6 was bad in my opinion, but in general i say this one is good to OK. don't be mistaken, it's no evil revelations 1, revelations 1 was a really good game ! the thing that bothered me the most was the FLASHLIGHT, POINT TO STUFF SIMULATOR ! you play as clair/moira at the same time and as barry/ natalia at the same time. moira can only point a flashlight and natalia can only point to stuff ! and since you need ammo you have to play with natalia/moira most of the time. so it's kind of a flashlight/point to stuff simulator than an evil game. i played this game on PS4 with my friend as local co-op and my friend was pissed off. he was like dude all i can do is point to stuff, and i was like i didn't know that dude, lol. so needless to say i didn't finish this game on PS4 and i finished it now finally. === last thing to remember PLAY RAID MODE before buying any DLC ! ( dont buy DLC for raid mode ) ! first know what is raid mode then buy stuff for it, i obviously bought all stuff on sale. i review each DLC on it's own page. === if you read this until here i made a game for iOS called "FatHatBoy" please check it out <3
