the new story this unlocks is brief but fun enough. it's just more of the same but i found it enjoyable. it has a few of the mechanics that made it into shadow of war (caragor stealth kills) and a few that didn't iirc (like dominating ghuls). the test of the wild mode is so retarded it will blow your mind how bad it is. either way, i don't recommend since it is the price of the season pass so you should just buy that lol

Of the available DLCs, I'd say it's the best one. It includes more collectibles in the form of dwarf journal entries that were apparently scattered when his camp was raided. However, I really don't like collectibles, especially when the game tells you exactly where they are. It feels like busywork with no clear purpose. What I did enjoy were the new beast abilities. The caragor's stealth kill ability was particularly cool. The graugs also received some new abilities that, while gross, actually worked well and were fun to play with. I wasn't as impressed with the ghûl army mechanic, though. It boiled down to killing a bunch of ghûls and then mass-converting the survivors. You weren't really strategizing or doing anything meaningful with them, which is unfortunate since the final boss fight revolves entirely around this mechanic. The final boss fight itself was a bit lacking. The warchief characters all seemed to be scripted encounters, which is a shame when they had the nemesis system to work with. It wasn't bad and I didn't mind it, but it could hurt replay value. On the plus side, once you complete the DLC, you can continue in free play, and I assume the game will use the nemesis system while letting you utilize the new beast powers. I wish they had integrated this content into the base game—perhaps there were balancing issues? Overall, this was fun and I mostly enjoyed it. 7/10
