I kinda like setting orcs on fire but its really not worth the price you have to pay for it. Next time ill just stick with cuting their heads off for free. Other then the fairly dissapointing DLC's i really enjoyed the game

I bought this quite by accident in a pack of other add-ons and am stunned that you can lower the difficulty for money. Why are there so many runes in the game? With each new one it is impossible to understand what is happening. This is the sixth review for the rune add-on. I've definitely gone crazy. Why not just give away runes for free? After all, this is not a game about runes, it does not even have a name "Rune".

Es una runa épica al principio, te da una gran ventaja, prendes fuego tu espada, te conviene que venga dentro del GOTY

Looks cool. Too bad fire is not that great in this game. Also the chances of actviating and doing damage is low. One of the better dlc but still kinda garbage.

it says 20% chance to ignite on the rune, but honestly this thing glows all day long when I have it equipped. I Picked up the ultimate pack for this game and all DLC's including the DLC are part of it. So with the 40% off sale most of this stuff was free to me and worth every penny. I don't understand why people complain about .99 cent DLC's. They are giving you the option to buy them piecemail for basically nothing. You can barely buy one cig for a dollar these days. This game is awesome top to bottom, any DPC is a plus in my book.

The add-on adds a rune to the game that ignites a blade provided a certain value in a combo has been reached. The rune itself is rather useless, as there are better alternatives, but it all looks quite spectacular.
Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor - Flame of Anor Rune
Early game rune and very useful through most of the game. Definitely alters gameplay experience. Paying for this separately is irresponsible, Just buy the GoTY edition of this game at a discount.

*Warning* Honestly do not know why they still offer the DLCs separately except to trick people who don't know to buy the GOTY upgrade that includes all of the game's DLC. None of the DLC including this one is worth buying separately when the GOTY upgrade is $9.99. None of the DLC are "great" but if you want a little more don't buy them individually. Just a single ruin, not worth buying by itself.

DLC verdict: Don't get it Comment: This rune gives you the ability to ignite the blade after reaching a combo count. And a 20% chance to ignite enemies on critical strike while ignited. It seems to light up fairly often but doesn't seem to ignite enemies often enough. You find plenty of sword runes while you play that have more use. Though I have to admit the ignited sword looks good. This DLC is part of the Season Pass/Premium Edition/GOTY Edition so you will get it if you bought those. Like many other runes it is too specific to have constant use and so I cannot recommend buying it... ------------------------------------------------------------------ If you liked this DLC review you can find more in my Review Corner.
